Noah Balta - Welcome to Tigerland

That was nothing compare to Justin Murphy's 5 goals on debut against the Bombers.
Stephen Jurica
Justin Plapp
Richard Lounder

We have had a long list of first game stars

Poor Noah has a bit of the Mcbeans about him.
Hope he tears it up though.

Couldn't be more opposite to McBean.

Balta thrived on the contest today. McBean thrived on lurking out the back of packs.

Was meaning how a young tall could be burdened with the hype.

Great game.

Will only get better.

Said it last night that the Nank/Balta combo is the way to go as we maintain our speed and structure until Lynch is fit at the very least.

Has created a very interesting situation.

Assuming he can hold down the second ruck spot (and I still think that is a reasonable if) then it is hard to see how Lynch fits into that forward line, especially if Nankervis is playing more minutes down there.

Quite easily imo. If Nanks is forward then Balta is rucking, Lynch is key forward and Reiwoldt pushes further up the ground. Our forward line has a lot more flexibility. Getting excited just thinking about it. Remember also there is a bench.

Agree. If Balta's rucking Nank is either rucking or on the bench. Lynch, Jack and Caddy up forward.

Then when Nank's rucking, Balta pushes forward and Caddy goes on the ball.

If Balta is to spend a significant time in the ruck this season, they'll have to time it for when the opposition's main ruckman is having a spell. He'd be slaughtered by Gawn, Grundy, Natanui, etc

Could roll on and off the bench Richoman whilst Nanks has a breather, can also be given a run on a wing.

Were saying balta was 100kgs ,and with his spring will be competitive, on the tiger guys on debut who starred but still failed, all but Murphy had very limited talent which held them back but balta oozes talent .

Did everything we could have hoped for. His athleticism sets him apart.

You've got a cheek! Noticed you keeping low, but showing up here ...!

So still think he's a lock to play as a career defender!? Why don't you just admit you got it so wrong?

Please keep this stuff between yourselves guys.

I'm happy to. No-one is compelled to read or respond. It's aimed back at Bontague solely.
