Don't know about you but I despise Summer.

I usually go to a few Victory games but still not the same as watching my beloved Richmond.

The chanting is fun but the game isn't as good IMHO.

All my mates I meet up with are gone.

Anyone else get really down after the footy season is over?

More so this year. Can see us really improving now. Just want next season to start.

When we were coming last it wasn't that depressing really. :hihi

Yeah I agree.

I hang on tight to the last 9 games of the year once finals start despite the knowledge that it will be some other annoying club with the cup, but it's my last taste of AFL for the year...

The only bright spots during the long 5 month drought are the drafts and Darksiders v Brightsiders on PRE. :clap

Fun Ha!

It's doubly depressing for me becaus ethe only other sport I really get into stops as well. Lucky things get busier this time of year to help the time go fast.

The NBA lockout, the crap state of Australian Cricket... At least there is UFC :'(

Our luck is changing. Big things next year as long as we are ruthless in all areas of the club management.

I get a bit down. I used to love cricket as a kid but it just doesn't do it for me anymore. With my lads footy finished up I get most of my Saturday back bar some tennis in the morning, so I get the fishing gear and board shorts out. The trading period, training news, beer :beer and hopes of a brighter future at Tigerland keep me going.

I don't mind the offseason to be honest. A chance to enjoy the nice weather on weekends without the stress of the Tigers eating me up inside.

Nice evenings after work in daylight savings where you can get outside and exercise isn't such a chore. BBQs, catch-ups with friends, trade week, numerous Christmas *smile* ups, the Spring Racing Carnival, the Grey Smith Bar on Boxing Day, Christmas with the family, time off work, catching up with former teammates over beers at cricket club past players days, Milo cricket on a Friday night with beers and a BBQ, swimming at the pool, going to the beach etc. etc.

How can anyone possibly get depressed with all of that????

All teams are back on even footing and we can live in hope, compared to the footy season where hopes are usually dashed by round 5.

Because all that *smile* doesn't matter in slightest compared to the Tiges.

all the replays are on Bigpond. i was watching one last night. ahhh :spin got me fix

I just look forward to the watching the finals games - going for Geelong to win this year.

Also look forward to the post-season with trade week and the draft.

I will be putting in a pre-order for the 2012 AFL Prospectus shortly.

That usually ties me up for around a month before the next season starts.

the worst thing is not being able to look forward to finals since we havent been in any since 1800

Yep, I'm a bit down since the Tigers have stopped playing. We play and they depress me, then they stop playing and I get depressed :hihi Struggling as per always to get into the finals.

The off-season's necessary to make you look forward to the next season. In a roundabout way it's like how work makes you look forward to holidays.

Besides, if there was no cricket season I'd end up fatter than Tony Lockett from sitting on PRE all year round.

Same with me. Our summer of cricket's bored me to hell for nearly 20 years (bar The Ashes) now.

Up until 10 years ago, whenever I missed the Tiges during summer, I used to stick the the video in the VCR and watch the season's replays along with the 1995 2nd SF once in a while.......he he Richo in action.....along with some false dawn wins that used to get my hopes up high for next season......funny when you look back.

I have a clear life. There are 4 seasons:

Football
Spring Carnival
Cricket
Autumn Carnival
Football again.

My wife loves it.

Is that why she is # 3?
