Great read and a great warrior. He is like our modern day Kevin Sheedy, tough as nails and probably underestimated by most other supporters but the strongest link in our backline.

I am still staggered Vlas doesn’t have AA at least once - he is as every bit as good as - and influential as some of the geesook defenders who were AAs during their dynasty period
Spot on. Have a look at some of the defenders that have received AA honours ahead of Vlastuin in the past few years.
Darcy-Byrne Jones!! FFS. Luke Ryan!! FFS. Tom Stewart has 2!! Brad Sheppard, Caleb Daniel, Michael Hibberd, Sam Docherty!!!!

Dusty has 4 but yes your point is still valid. DBJ over Vlastuin is a joke.
Just as Novak having twice as many AA jumpers as Dusty is a massive joke.
Grimes, Big V and even Lambert have been screwed over.
In the last 4 years no-one has been better in defence then BigV and Grimes (Thats 4) and Lamberts year in 2017 and 2018 should've been recognised too.
The players lose points because they play for us.
When Geelong were winning flags 6-7 players filled the AA team.
We dominate the 2018 season and we get 4 in the team.
The 2007 team has 9 Geelong players, 2008 they have 5
Hawthorn only had 2 in 2013, 3 in 2014 & 3 in 2015.
2017 we had 2, 2 in 2019 and in 2020 only 1.
That's why im never interested in the award anymore
Will be very happy to see Nick back next in the team next weekend with a big couple of games coming up.
