A good analogy, our backline stacks up very well against the handbaggers.
That's why Balta stays in when Dave is back
This week , Balta to Cameron , Dave to Himmelburg , Broad to Finlayson, Grimes/Vlaustin to Green , it then frees up Vluastin or Grimes to play that intercept role. We are at our best when doing that down back then springboard from there forward.
Like many on here I am impressed with Broad these days.

I wouldn't play Balta on Cameron just yet. I think Cameron would be too clever for him at this stage. Grimes would be my first choice with Broad as backup. Agree with the other matchups, hopefully Astbury is back. Nick is playing well so give him a crack at Toby.
Absolutely but I also reckon he deserved it the last 3 years also. Grimes and Vlaustin close to the best defenders in the competition and Broady also coming into All Australian talk also!
I may be one of the few (and there is probably a few others worthy), but I would really like to see Vlastuin annointed as the the next captain of Richmond.

Grimes to Cameron, Dave to Finlayson, Balta to Heinrich, Broad to Greene. Vlastuin to cover off everyone, Baker to mop up, Short and Egghead to distribute.
With Down To Love coming back, one of the backmen has to move out. None of them deserve to be dropped, so Broad or a small to Caddy's wing has been suggested. I'll float another possibility: Tigga into the guts. Yes, he's supreme down back, but with DTLD, Balta, Grimes, Broad, Bakes, Shorty and Egg, we look pretty solid even without Nick.

Moving Vlastuin from the backline would quickly back fire on us. You dont fix something that aint broke.

It has been BIG V since the day he arrived.
He reminds me of the classy defenders that would always get selected for the BIG V.
