Well here we are again sports fans. The crap AFL season is finally behind us tiger fans, now we get to turn our attention to the upcoming NFL season !

And with that comes the time honoured tipping comp everyone wants to win - the MopsClelland !!

Yes we are back again this year, bigger and better than ever before. The organising committee has convened and had it's pow wow. It was put to a vote whether Forcey should get a head start this year to give him a fighting chance but was ultimately rejected. Sorry TF !
Apart from that discussion it was a pretty boring meeting. It was decided rather quickly that the comp will stay the same this year. For the old and senile amongst us, as well as any potential newbies, here is a reminder of the format.

3 games tipped on each week. Will always be one of the early Sunday games, Sunday night and Monday night games (US time)

All matches selected will be telecast to us, that way we can watch how our selections are going if keen.

To avoid potential one sided matches, all selections will be for your chosen team to cover the line.

I will post the 3 matches around 9am every Friday morning, with the line quoted on the betting sites to be used at that particular time.

One point awarded for a correct tip, a bonus point awarded for getting all 3 right.

If you fail to submit your tips on time you miss out on that particular game.

Once submitted your tips are final. No amendments will be accepted.

Just like previous years we will tip more often when the schedule allows it. Thanksgiving weekend for example. Plenty of notice will be provided when these opportunities are coming up.
And of course we will have our final round tipping extravaganza where we tip on every game bar one. So if you fall behind don't give up there will be lots of points on offer to finish the season. Remember, last years winner came from second last after week 10 so it is possible to make up lost ground.

Speaking of previous winners, let's take a stroll down memory lane and acknowledge our past champions.

Well, that's what I call a high class honour board ! Who will add their name to this illustrious list this year ??

Can Redford continue sniping at Ridley all season long and maintain focus on the job at hand ?? Hmmm.
Can MD Jazz bounce back from his shattering loss in the final game last season ??
Will RoarEmotion finally find a coin to flip that doesn't have 2 heads ??
Can TigerForce avoid a third consecutive spoon ??
Will mainlandy be a force this year, or is he burnt out from hosting his own comp all year long ??
Can marella jube get off to another fast start but maintain the rage this time ??
Can Jo Mamma continue his impressive form or was he just a flash in the pan ??
Will Ridley continue to show faith in his Jag loving son or will he go it alone this year ??
Will T-Shirt Tommy give us a head start again this year or be asleep at the wheel once more ??

Three weeks of pre-season games are already behind us. Only one more left before the season commences. So do the form, study the team lists and be ready to hit the season running.

The Cardinals? Too easy. They're gonna be very tired after playing all that baseball for the past few months. Bills off to a flyer!

Ricky Pearsall, Niner first round draft pick this year. Shot in the chest in one of the busiest, most popular areas in San Francisco - Union Square. Tourist central.

Walking alone. Attempted mugging that went real bad. Luckily, going to be ok I believe.

Geez San Francisco as a city has some problems at the moment. Gone to the dogs.
 
Bloody hell, how exciting is it to have the NFL less than a week off starting!!!!

Always been a Rodgers fan, hope he has an injury free season, and more importantly hope his O-line can be injury free. Can the Jets make the p[layoffs if he does?

And it appears a very open season. Would love to see the Lions win it all.

Injuries will dictate, having a fit O-line is the key to success with so many good QB's around.

Only 4 more sleeps.

I’ve been looking forward to the NFL since about round 9 of the AFL season.

Between Richmond being non competitive and AFL in general being by and large unwatchable, it dawned on me that maybe I prefer NFL these days.

I know for certain I will be watching multiple NFL games every week. I barely watched any AFL that didn’t involve the Tigers.
