Great stuff by the C-Hawks.

Sucked in eagles.

After all the disgracefully pathetic interference calls, they miss this at a critical moment in the game. Worst officiating. Period.

You often get a grandstanding official in the NFL so they can get themselves on tv, and tonight they had one on the sidelines.

Then he misses this….

I’ve been saying all season that the play calling has been *smile*.
Brian Johnson should be marched out of the building 1st thing tomorrow morning.

Why go for the deep shot on the last drive when you only need 15 yards to set up a field goal and the game to OT? How can the offense only put up 17 points against the 28th rated defense?

And the less said about the D, the better. They should actually be referred to as the F.

Bah, don’t be silly mate.
They only call that in the last quarter of Super Bowls.

Yeh, but it was the previous drive, when they led 17-13 with 6 minutes on the clock, that they failed. Seattle only had one timeout left.

Just a few first downs required and they were safe.

They have been winning despite their shitty D because they backed themselves to outstcore their opponents. Now that the offense is struggling they are stuffed.

Yep.

Holding. Defense. Ball to be placed at the spot of the foul. Automatic first down

Doesn‘t get much simpler than that in the NFL.

It’s interesting, I’ve heard 3 analysts on ESPN (and Tom Brady) say this is a really ordinary year of football. No real standout teams, poor coaching, poor officiating.

Tend to think they’re right.

Not too many cheering at the completion of week 15. Except for JoMamma of course, who secured the bonus point in the second set of matches. Outstanding performance that JM !!

Three sets of games to be tipped on next week. How that will be made up I’m not sure at this stage. I was banking on tipping on the 3 Boxing Day games, however ESPN are only showing the latest game of the three. Hopefully 7mate come to the rescue but their viewing schedule hadn’t been released last I checked. But we can use a lot of the Christmas Day games if required.

Whatever happens in that regard be aware all tips for Week 16 will need to be submitted by Sunday 8:30am.
I will tag everyone again when putting the games up on Friday around 9am

One of the worst seasons I've ever seen. Any wildcard can win the SB.

Sort of getting like the AFL. Pastelising the entire competition, shocking officiating, endless rule changes, too many delays and non action in the games etc etc

That delay today to review a simple situation must have taken 6-8 minutes. Thought Troy Aikman was gonna lose his sheet.

I think the “quality” of games can be partly explained by the current quarterback situation the NFL finds itself in.

Brady has retired, Rodgers hasn’t been playing, Big Ben recently retired too. That’s 3 franchise players right there.

Aside from Mahomes and Allen there isn’t any real star quality QB’s going around atm. Burrow has been nursing injuries and now done for the year, ditto Herbert.

Also at the next level we have Goff, Hurts, Prescott and Jackson. Good players for sure, great on their day, but just lack that consistency in their game to take them to the elite level.

If you equate high quality with high scoring bear this in mind. I have never seen a year where the total match points over/under odds being offered are consistently so low. So many games with points graded at the o/u 34.5 - 38.5.
At the other end very few games have been graded at an o/u 50 level. Last year there was at least 1 per week, some getting as high as 56.5. (Patriots v Falcons Super Bowl a few years ago was o/u 60!) Between weeks 8 and 13 this year there were none. And when we finally saw one it was over 50.5. Unheard of.

All IMO and based on what I am seeing as a punter on NFL. There will be other factors at play I have no doubt. Greater emphasis on defense could well be one of them amongst others. Would need to research that further, but this post is me just spit balling on what I have noticed this year.

Everyone says that but Niners this year are the first team since 2009 Saints to win 6 games in a row by over 12 points per game. For sure teams in recent years have won 6 games in a row, but never won those 6 games by +12 or more.

Tom's are homer whose talking up the era he played in, everything from now on, Tom will hate

Yeah still lost 3 in a row though Jerry. And the playoff outcomes are anyone’s guess.

I know they have to sink the whole deal and win a Super Bowl (y) If they do that then we'll talk about it aye 🍻

But I do remember a local team in 2019 lose 3 games in a row. And worse in 2017, they lost 4 in a row!! What happened those years 💪👊🏆🏆🐯

I don't mind teams finding their way during a season, and always like a loss close to the end of the season, to get everyone out of their 'we're freaking to good mentally'.

1980 we got pumped by the Swans in the last round by 9 goals, I was a young teenager at that game :giggle:

We lost top spot because of that, dropped to 3rd place, but it gave Jewell the ammunition to get into them and we know what happened in the three finals matches after that aye :cupgold

That year as well, ahhhh this is for another time aye, boring you with the old days :D

What a joke performance by that crew. Complete and utter *smile*. It was like watching a Richmond game.
Disagree . Contact is incidental while his eyes were on the ball youre thinking like an afl fan. They are better at reffing nuance over there
And the usually anti seahwaks commentary team silent on this one

Nah. No way. Both Aikman and the ref specialist said that could have been pass interference. (Commentators polite way of saying it was).

Incidental ? Pulled his jersey hard enough for his head to drop !

Cmon. That’s not “incidental”. That’s blatant pass interference. You call all those other pissy pass interference calls and you gotta call that one as well.
