NFL & NCAA Football Threads

Absolute obliteration of the Jacksonville Handbaguars today. Finally the Niner defense turns up after being missing for the last few weeks. Reckon most fans in the crowd were Niner fans too. Along with Steeler fans, the best travelling fans in the league.

Still though the Niners gave away some critical penalties. Moody - the kicker - still looks dodgy to me.

And the Jest blow it again. Hah hah hah. They are unreal. Can’t even think of an AFL club as bad as them over their history. They’re just an annual joke. Decade upon decade.

The Jest offensive line is just terrible. Wilson has next to zero time on every play.
Yeh, feel sorry for him in some ways. He's not as bad as most QB backups.

He's gunna get another chance!

Lions-Chargers game was a good one. Some high quality TD’s.

A fun team to watch are the Lions.

Will provide good entertainment in the post season.

Your man Dan has em cruisin.

Always liked that Dan what’s his name and those Lions. Always.

On a serious note, they have definitely exceeded my expectations. And I think Detroit fans are a bit surprised too. Especially with Goff the last 2 years.

Goff could always play imo. He just needed to learn to improve his decision making and look after the football better. Accept when a play is dead and not try to force a low percentage play.

He seems more adept at that now. And his team is benefitting from it.

Watching the Jest today, they basically provided zero QB protection. They are terrible. Thought I’d check to make sure my eyes werent deceiving me, and sure enough their O-Line is ranked around the 24th to 26th mark depending on what ratings supplier you use. And they are 30th for sacks allowed.

Rodgers must be thinking wtf did I join this perennial rabble for ?

And the Steelers roll on. Pickett with 126 Yds (14-23) and no touchdowns yet they get the chocolates again and are 6-3!

He has only thrown 6 TD's with 4 Interceptions yet they are 6-3!!
Trent Dilfer played the second half of the Ravens 2000-2001 Super Bowl winning team as QB.

And went 12 TD, 11 INT.

But if your defence is led by Ray Lewis is giving up just 10 points a game, you have a good chance to win most of your games.

You only need to score yourself 1 TD (add a 2 point conversion) and 1 FG to win 11-10. Or make 2 FG's and 1 TD and you win 13-10 :rolleyes:

Shyte football to watch but if you followed the Ravens you didn't care if you were winning SB's aye :D

Yeah Moody snuck that last kick in, was close missing another FG he made. Early days hopefully he relaxes and becomes one of the better kickers in the game :notworthy:

Niner defence looked better with the DC on the sideline instead off in the booth calling defensive plays down on the headsets (y)
