IMO the competition will always be corrupted until the AFL negotiates all stadium deals and then subcontracts to the clubs on an equal basis.
Even that won't help. Half the problem is that the Eagles and Crows don't sell many match-day tickets. Everyone has a reserved seat. Similarly with Geelong. A membership is not enough, you need a reserved seat. That is why the Dogs and North have bad deals. The venue takes a big cut of the gate - and there is no other revenue. Wheras Subiaco and Football Park are owned by the leagues so charge lower rents.
