MLB 2023

Just saw it in the Phillies @ Padres 2nd game. Some runners to 1st base look very close to safe but most do go out. With close calls, I'm not surprised the 1st base umpires have the balls to call it out or not, without having to go for a video review.

The Cash Man has spent billions and billions of dollars over 22 years for….wait for it …wait for it…. ONE WORLD SERIES RING !

ONE IN 22 !!! With all that money ???? That’s like Real Madrid only winning the La Liga once in 22 years. Utterly unacceptable.

Shaking my head man, was that 50 strikeouts in four games, I can't even be bothered looking at the stats, just too embarrassing. :vomit

Hopefully the Judge goes to San Fran cause you could see he was more interested in getting to 62 than being playoff ready, which he wasn't ready for again!! :rolleyes:
 
I landed in Philly on Sunday night. Town is buzzing for Friday to start the WS.
Unfort I've ad to move on, I,ll be in Phoenix for Friday. Couldn't get the flights right to get back to philsteak

This town is headed the way of Detroit

Other than that it was safe

Manhattan just as bad or worse.


Postscript so much weed being smoked everywhere these days. It's endemic.
I know the laws have changed but I didn't realise every street every street smells of it

Detroit is on the improve....slowly.

Manhattan is good I reckon. Will be back there in December.

yeah it's still a good town, I lived there in about 2005. Or 2008.
Too long ago to remember exactly.

Maybe I'm getting old but there was a lot of street people about. More than I remember. A lot hasn't changed though, the Naked cowboy is still going 15 years on!

Brooklyn has had an overhaul along the westbank its a yuppie dream.

Street people. Meh. They're everywhere. Melbourne, Toorak...everywhere.

Brooklyn Heights has always been upmarket for as long as I've known it.

The regen is done well. Lots of different spaces and plenty of trees and spashing sea.
Makes it even more worthy of upmarket.


There was a lot of anger in amhatten midtown today. Sure it's everywhere but new York is bigger and louder than everywhere!!
