Might struggle to make the 100,000 mark this year.

Currently just over 95,000, which in itself is very good, but it has not moved much recently.

If and if we continue to lose games then the membership drive will, imho, dry up.

Its tough times for Richmond, we have only won 38 of the last 51 games (75% of our games). 20 of our last 26.... Dark days :p

Dark days indeed. I've got some tins I might go and rattle to raise some money for the inevitable financial decline.

As someone recently posted on a forum somewhere, I long for the heady days where all we had to whinge about was the quality of the engraving on our premiership cup ::)

whadda ya mean? its gone up by 2,200 in the past 11 days.

Did not realize that Ian. I thought it had been stuck around the 95,000 mark for a little while.

Here is a big thread that will help you keep track.

Not sure how you have come to this coclusion.

As of yesterday our membership this year compared to last year is: 4/4/19 - 95,381 this year, and 4/4/18 - 87,570 at the same time last year, which is just under 8,000 up on last year. We got 100,700 odd last year so going by the current figures we'll actually beat last year, not decline in numbers. It is a shame with the Rance injury and now Riewoldt, it might have stopped a few extra band-wagoners jumping on board but as you can see, those numbers are unbelievable. Well done to the Army, best supporters in the league by a mile.

Could be difficult to get that late explosion of extra members as there might not be a back to back grand final option to sell late in the year.

i dumped it after the 2017 flag to save money. then after being on top all year in 2018, i regretted it and asked to be put on the waiting list. They said it would probably take 2 years, but must have had more depatures than they thought.

it would be interesting to know how they decide who gets offered a spot on MRC first... seniority? or first in line on the waiting list?

Earlier on I thought we might struggle to make the 100,000 membership total.

Could not be more wrong, I admit.

As at today, 3rd. May, we are some 99,400 odd, and should reach the milestone sooner rather then later.

If we have a win tomorrow night against the Bullies it will be almost guaranteed.

Even if we lose, god forbid, I still thin now we will perhaps even beat last years total.

Good income for the Club is this and makes us financially viable.

Damn it. I just dug up all my " Save Our Skins" memorabilia.
Will it be safe to put it away again or should I keep it all handy just in case?

;D

What you got, i have certificates signed by Dale Weightman and Royce Hart and a small vegemite jar of i can't remember if it was MCG or Punt Road soil, (pathetic when you look back on it but anything for the cause ;D).

It was also in the 1990 save our skin campaign when i took out a 10 year membership.

Well done!!!

Pity you didn't consider negotiating a 27 year membership at the time - might have been a bargain.
