you get them together with a decent coach and you have a premiership. A bit of class and a bit of grunt grunt and it happens

Sorry, we have about 10 players and the rest probably wouldnt get a game anywhere else, thats our problem , no depth !

I am sorry but I am sick of hearing about Fleming being no good. This is one man that at least has some balls. Alright the hit on Reiwoldt was crude but it did the job.

Sorry but Tim Fleming is far from tough.
He been jumping into opposition players backs for the past 16 weeks, is that tough.
Being tough is putting your head over the football like Coughlan does and doesnt shirk the issue.
The oppostion players think he is a clown and they give it to him during the game.
I have seen Tim Fleming out at nightclubs a fair bit, When did Tim Fleming become a Mega Pop Star.?
Lets just say his AFL career will be that of a brief one

If I go? I thought you all had some heart for Richmond. You all sit here on this website and tell us who the club should draft, trade and delist and now it all seems too hard to let the club know how you feel. I for one dont wont to here you spruking about Bowden or Richo and especially Tim Fleming in draft talks. Tim Fleming is something this club has not only wanted but needed for for more years than I care too remember. Pretty boys dont win premierships, boys like FLEMING DO. Not pretty but neither was Balme or McGhei (Iknow the spelling isnt correct) NOW HAVE SOME BALLS AND TELL ME I AM WRONG

You're on the money. I love your post.
How True.

However, I believe it's a total waste of time attending.
I went with a mate a few years ago. My mate stood up and spoke about Richmonds poor draft selections. He was well prepared.

He was told by Leon Daffney, that what he rattled off was total crap. Daffney laughed at him and said he knew nothing about footy and if he didnt like it, to *smile* off.

I thought Daffneys selection of words were poor and pathetic. The hard questions were not answered.

My mate indiciated the poor selection of drafting decent players. He read a list of players whom were drafted and the amount of games they played.

Believe me, I've been to two and feel it wasnt really worth attending. It used to be held at Richmond Town Hall a few years ago when I last attented.

However, for some very opinionated people who think they have every solution to Richmonds problems, here is your opportunity to speak up and be heard.

If anyone is going and going to speak their mind, let me know, I may consider going.

Jackstar, this is one of Greg Millers personal responses to Tim Fleming.

I can assure you Tim's indiscriminate act will cost him more than $5000 and I can tell you he is very remorseful. Put in perspective Tim's attach on
the ball and the man with the ball has what has got him a game and been a great example to many of his teammates. He knows the incident was a split second
thing that went wrong.

I can assure you, that Fleming is well respected at the club. What he did to Nick Riewolt was disgraceful. We shouldnt be judging Fleming based on one incident.

So far this year, Fleming is one of few players who goes hard at the ball and the man. What happened to Nick Riewolt was terrible and a mistake that Fleming will regret.

Fleming not only got suspended, but is financially out of pocket also.

He will be out of pocket when he is delisted.
Forget what Miller has to say, everybody thinks he is god and he is the savior.
Miller should of been taken to court about the blame in reagrds to the email saga, he made us the laughing stock of the league.
Dont you remember Miller slagging the supporters after round 6 ?
Enough about Miller.
Fact of the matter is that Tim Fleming would not get a game with any other club. Carlton are giggling that he gets a game with us. And dont bag Carlton, they did beat us.
He gets a game with us, and how are we going?
He is a dud. enough said I think.
Get him of the drink might help him as well

Jackstar Jackstar Jakstar..........You seem like a nice bloke but Tim Fleming is a great player. As I have said not everyone can be a 25 posession getter........some have to do the hard yards and that is Tim give him a chance.

Tim Flemming is a dud and should not be playing league football, he has no skill and no football brain to match....when the Freo game was in the balance he jumped into backs and cost them the game.......besides when you support a half mullett you need to be able to play better than that

Nwonash, how can anyone judge how the Forums will be, based on what happened several years ago.

If you had been to one in recent times, fair enough, but Leon Daphne hasn't been at Richmond for four years. Surely people have to see how the current administration operates before assessing whether or not they are any better or worse?

And I agree with Walster, that this is a chance for people to be heard.

Even though you may not get the answers you want or expect, as long as the Club officials take back the message they receive from supporters, then that is what it really is all about.

Afterall, if the Club doesn't want to listen to its own members and supporters, who will they listen to?

Themselves!

I think the club are condescending to members offering their views. A pat on the head, a token "interesting thought" and a bland now go away and don't pester us again message.

just to refer to Laff last post, you are one of the few that obviously watch the game Laff ;)

I agree Rosy. However, from my own experiences, I have noticed that, even though they may respond to supporters in that way, they do actually take on board what people say and act on it.

You just have to be prepared to get no recognition for your input or contribution. Not ideal or appealing to anyone, but that's the way it seems to be, to me anyway.

Interesting MC, can you please give examples of your own experiences being taken on board and acted on?

Couldn't agree more Laff & Jackstar. Sorry Walster, Tim Fleming is a hack and you're sadly mistaken if you think he's the sort of player that's gonna help us win a flag. He may be reasonably hard at the ball and the man, but you need to have a modicum of skill to go with it, and he has none. For Christ's sake he couldn't even crack it for a spot on Carlton's list!

Just another example of the type of footballer that has been endemic at RFC for the past 20 years. Our tougher players have an unbelievably crap skill level (D. Kellaway, Fleming etc.) and our more skillful players are as weak as *smile* both physically and mentally (Bowden, Daffy etc.)

Coughlan is the one that I'm hoping may break this pathetic mould and turn into a high class, and tough, footballer. The signs are very good but geez he needs a few mates.

Walster - bit rich comparing Fleming to Mad Dog and Balme. They were hard nuts who could play a bit. They were surrounded by champions of the game not just the football club. The game was different when they were running around wacking anyone who within range. Football is not the same game anymore - and it never will be. Fleming offers 70's style toughness not what's required today. It's great that he offers a fair dinkum contest but his fitness and skills are far too lacking. Chris and Brad Scott are examples of players who are harder than Fleming but can actually play. In light of the Sinclair case on Monday I think we were all quick to hang Fleming ( I was as guilty as anyone), but at the end of the day unless he suddenly develops some skill and fitness he is of little value in the short or long term.

Having said that, Rosy and CB, I can't really substantiate any of that, with any great confidence.

Afterall, how would I really know it was me and not someone else with the same idea. So, you'll just have to take my word for it.

Can I add something here and I do not know if it is what you are looking for Rosy but here goes.

This relates to pre-2003. Actually it goes back to season 2000.

In season 2000 our clothing sponsor was Lotto - there was a huge falling out over something and our then CEO made some comments in the newspapers about the $$ we were going to lose from merchandising sales.

As part of this "falling out" the coaches were wearing collar & tie rather than Lotto polos.

Anyway it irritated me and I wrote a letter voicing my concerns. Also as part of that letter I raised my concern over the fact that because the coaches on match day were wearing collar & tie and not the polos they were not promoting our Major sponsor the TAC at all and that with the deal with the TAC expiring at the end of the 2000 season we owed it to the TAC to promote and give them exposure on match day.

My suggestion was that if the Coaches were going to be wearing the white business shirts then the TAC logo etc should be on those shirts.

I received a reply back from Mark Brayshaw within in a week and was told that my idea would be actioned and implemented immediately. It was and within 3 weeks the coaches had the TAC message on their shirts.

I still have the letter from Mark Brayshaw

Walster, im in perth so ask them a question for me...

Our midfield apart from 3 players is very poor will Richmond be looking at a few established young players from other clubs or will be be using our draft picks to get some unknowns?
