March To The Finals - 2020.

Those two points we got against the Pies will either work for us or against us.
In the washup, the 2 points helped us get to 3rd instead of 4th and avoid a QF against Port in Adelaide. The two points we missed out on had not much effect on our finish.

The two points Collingwood got were not much value to them as they still would have made the 8 with a narrow loss. The two points they lost however forces them to travel to Perth for the EF.

Can you believe that tomorrow would've been the scheduled Grand Final day.... and hopefully if we were in it, we'd be figuring out how to wade through this weather into the parade?

Tomorrow's forecast looks like it would have been right up our alley:confused:

With no footy this week, looking to re-watch one of our "march to the finals" 2020 games, which was the best win, ie watchable game?

It's recent, but the way we took apart Geelong is one of my favorites. Closely followed by our destruction of WCE

1? One game??

Are you kidding, it is the week before the finals, I am going to try and do what I did before the 2017 finals - time to get all the games out:
1967 Grand Final - absolute cracker, watch the whole game not just the last quarter (which is tempting because it is so good).
1969 Grand Final - what I would give to get vision of the 1969 1st Semi!
1973 Grand Final - revenge, thuggery, all the fun of the fair! Might dip into the 1973 Prelim too, great game (watch this if you have never seen it, simply stunning, but you have to watch the whole game, pointless otherwise).
1974 Grand Final - can North finally win a flag? Um, no :D
1980 Grand Final - Collingwood getting flogged, just too much fun.
2017 QF, PF and GF - break the drought.
2019 QF, PF and GF - the Prelim i so good, still remember it well as I had a great seat.

Now, all I need to do is find the time and get hold of the TV.

Aah, I read it too quickly, all the 2020 games. Hmm, I think I'd want to miss a couple of them, although I did watch all of 2019 earlier this year when the footy wasn't on. Some of those games were not fun, especially the game where Geelong got us.

However, your statement above is interesting - I don't really want the 1927/28/29/31/33 Grand Finals, not the result I am looking for but if you have 1920, 1921, 1931, 1934 and 1943 I'd be happy to have copies ;) :p

We could beaten collingwood and the hawks and still be scheduled for exactly the same game, and we’d probably pick the Gabba

and for the pies, losing that 2 points send them west instead of playing the stains

Hmm, looks like Astbury and Chol were rucking against each other in training.

Maybe it's Nank and Astbury up against Martin and McInerny and Lynch in for Chol?

A must watch is the 1995 semi final against the Bombres, when we came from 5 goals down at half time. Knighta kept us in the game in the first half then Scotty Turner went BANG. The crowd noise was unbelievable, people were delirious when we hit the front.

A day to remember forever!

I still haven't seen that game! Must get hold of a DVD.
I was holidaying in the US and finally saw an Aussie newspaper in a club lounge. My wife couldn't understand why I had a silly grin on my dial.
