Just saw this young sudanese born kid on the TAC cup future stars show. I think he might be worth a risk as a late pick or rookie ,with a little development could blossom into a Gun. here is a link to an article about him.

Very raw is Majak but boy can he move, I seriously can't believe he's only 79Kg as the article states.
In any other draft he'd probably get picked up as a rookie but I wont be surprised if he gets taken in the ND.

He reminds me a bit of Liam Jurrah at Melbourne.

Not even close. i've watched him play a few times and i would hope we don't pick him up. There is a lot of work to do. He has no idea of where to run and position and his skills aren't that good. i would say his only attribute is he has the agility. Richmond need 'players' not juniors with such a high risk of failure.

Hah, no chance for ND. Saw him play a game in WRFL Div 2, and whilst he was good in the hit outs at that level and moved pretty well for such a big guy, he wasn't in any way dominant or had skills required for AFL level.

I reckon VFL is his upside or as a very good Div 1 suburban player.

I have watched a few times this year and have seen him the last 2 weeks. There is plenty of upside because he has still so much to learn. He's been added to the state screening testing.

Yes, I saw Daw yesterday at the Ranges game.

Funny, I spoke to long time juniors recruiting fan, Alan. Many recruiters would know him.
He said Daw was in the wrong sport. Reckoned Daw should be in the Australian Track & Field team. He'd be travelling the world and dominating Australian sport.

Yes, hes that quick. Probably a shorter, faster version of Natanui. Comes from the Sudan, they tell me.

It's great to see new immigrants becoming a part of Australian sport.

Anyway, he's very fast, excellent second efforts, tackling from behind.
And can kick long & straight. One shot from 50m out dropped on the line but was dead straight. The other, from 45m out, still dead straight, went through.

Eventually, because of the Ranges dominance up forward, Daw had to be moved back and was less effective.

Yes, if you check my Junior Watch list, I've already added Daw.
Perfect as a 3rd forward.

I thought this thread was about a door where duds walked out and guns walked in.

For those that haven't seen much of Daw take a look at this little clip.
I wont say hes a gifted footballer but he shows more talent than some on our list.
Wouldnt mind him as a mobile ruck either.

Clips like this are a little too biased to get too excited about but I do like his athletic prowess.

Might be hard to put enough muscle/weight on him to be an effective AFL ruckman.

I don't think this will be an issue for him. He's lean but has the right frame to add size and muscle.

He's an amazing contested mark, good frame too
If we're delisting 10-12, drafting into round 8-9 and the GC17 have the first 5 rookie picks, our last pick may be worth a punt on someone like that

I'd be happy to take him as a late pick, just don't think drafting him with a view to him being a ruckman is a sound idea.

He could certainly pinch-hit in the ruck if needed, but could easily slot in up forward.

So strong in the air and damn quick, you'd have plenty of trouble finding anyone to match up on him.
He knows how to protect team-mates aswell (something most of our players don't).

He'd be a good late speculative pick.
