It was Lynch when he decided after 10 minutes he didn’t need the ice anymore…But yes Dimma also did a good job.
Richmond high-performance manager Peter Burge said Lynch was taken off in the win over Essendon with soreness in the groin but also as a precaution against further damage. Scans on Monday confirmed there was no tear but there was inflammation and pain in the groin and adductor.
He would have struggled to play if the game was this week but the bye will mean Lynch is almost certain to line up against Brisbane at the Gabba on Thursday week.
“I would be pretty confident he is playing. It’s something that is very manageable and having 12 days between games certainly helps with treatment and time for it to settle,” Burge said.
“He has a little bit of inflammation to the groin or adductors. Nothing bad, he was just getting a bit sore and we were 60 points in front and medically he was starting to get a little bit inhibited and this is the whole reason they have got it there.
“If the game was this weekend he would be some doubt, he wouldn’t be doing a lot of training so the extra week definitely helps.
“He will do straight line running this week and resume with the group on the weekend or first thing next week.”

Probably a few around with inflamed groins once it was clear we were playing finals again.
The fact he isn’t All Australian is an absolute joke. Averaged the most goals and game and the best contested mark in the league.
Should have been on the ground or at worst on the bench.
