Tom Lynch is having a pretty good season. Some think career-best.
When any team loses fans tend to think it's moral. Not much on Earth is moral.
With Tom Lynch back we win the close one. And, in a year like this, could win much harder games.
If you look closely at 2022 you may arrive at the conclusion that that SDK is easily the best tall back in the game (what an addition to Geelong) and SDK did ambush our leviathan Tom J Lynch in that close game.
SDK surprised TJL in our most recent encounter, ambushed him with strength, height, leap and judgment. TJL is a historic footballer and was no more surprised than any who saw the coming of age of this young Geelong champion on that night.
What I'm talking about here is the best full back and the best FF. The duel. SDK and TJL. Nobody else can get near him.
It's the rematch we're all waiting for.

When Lynch gets a bit of protection from the umpires (very rare) he does good overall

If he was on park would have beaten Sydney GC and North and would be about $3.50 for the flag
Some might disagree, but no one could argue that he is not the best contested pack mark going around.
He and Prestia are clearly our most important players.
We would be sitting comfortably in the top 4 if he had play through the bad patch we had.

Clunking marks, kicks 8.0, wow, what a great game. Didn't think he'd get to 10 given we were going to the non-scoring end in the last, but 8 is a great haul.
