Little things that annoy you....

Really annoyed by the increasing incidence of "what" after "than" in sentences.

ie. reporter to coach - "so what was the reason for the turn around in the third quarter?"

coach - "our midfield got on top and played better than WHAT theirs did."

Like Francisco Scaramanga's superfluous third nipple, its unattractive and unsightly! Hate it!

It's nowhere near as bad or as ubiquitous as the now ingrained "That's where we're at."
"We know where we're at."
"That's where they're at."
Every single person in football uses it. THE AT IS NOT REQUIRED, NOT CORRECT, AND A BIGGER WASTE OF TIME AND SPACE THAN ROBIN NAHAS.

"That's where we ARE"
"We know where we ARE"
"That's where they ARE"

Why throw in extra words for no reason at all at? It's constant, grating, and more annoying than listening to Mark Maclure and Robbo talk football at.

no. i bought my first rock album in something like 15 years last week. nevermind by nirvana. and i believe the comment was something along the lines of how i believe i relate to kurt cobain... it's not hard to imagine how that can be misconstrued :hihi

anyway moving on, i have one that most guys can relate to:
when going to a public toilet for number 2's, there is nothing worse than someone walking in and sitting in the cubicle next to you - especially when there are other cubicles further away he could have chosen - because you know being a male that he's there for number 2's as well, and you know that you're most likely about to hear some noises that you don't particularly wanna hear. i'm not much of a prude, but hearing those noises just makes me cringe (our should i say, dry reach?).

my little girl tends to respond with -"what are they doing? they're doing a poo." or "they farted" and she doesnt say it quietly either.

Spotting an old flame in the supermarket ( who you think has seen you too ) and then hiding down the back of the aisle's trying desperately to avoid talking to her.

Happened to me this morning, Result- success, I escaped unscathed :phew

People referring Brisbane to Brisvegas.....If you have been to Las Vegas you'll realize it's nothing alike,
if you have and still say it.....you're an idiot.
Plus the fact the term is sooo old now and stopped being anything like amusing after 5 minutes.

I agree. Brisbane's more like a bigger version of Gympie than Vegas ... at least population wise ;)

I hear that Clive has a plan to bulldoze Brisbane and extend the Gold Coast further north

An example of Scaramanga's nipple from our coach yesterday!!

Despite yesterday’s 38-point win over Adelaide at the MCG, coach Damien Hardwick believes Richmond still has plenty of room for improvement.

The Tigers jumped to sixth on the ladder after its second consecutive win, which was built on a strong four-quarter performance.

“You always think you can be better than what you are,” Hardwick said after the match.

“I still think we’ve got enormous upside. We competed around the stoppages pretty well today but we weren’t overly pleased with the movement from stoppages.

“Our transition from the back half at stages wasn’t good enough. We can certainly find things we need to fix.”

After two strong team performances against finals contenders in the past two matches, Hardwick said the players are starting to play a more consistent brand of football.

“I think they’re just doing things to a higher level of consistency, and that’s what the good sides do,” he said.

“You look at Geelong, Sydney, Hawthorn, these sorts of sides. They just don’t make a lot of errors.

“We certainly go through stages where we do that, and we have to improve, but I think that’s the one thing the side is starting to do, is becoming more consistent over the four quarters.”

Richmond plays the Western Bulldogs next Saturday night at Etihad Stadium.
