Really annoyed by the increasing incidence of "what" after "than" in sentences.
ie. reporter to coach - "so what was the reason for the turn around in the third quarter?"
coach - "our midfield got on top and played better than WHAT theirs did."
Like Francisco Scaramanga's superfluous third nipple, its unattractive and unsightly! Hate it!
An example of Scaramanga's nipple from our coach yesterday!!
Despite yesterday’s 38-point win over Adelaide at the MCG, coach Damien Hardwick believes Richmond still has plenty of room for improvement.
The Tigers jumped to sixth on the ladder after its second consecutive win, which was built on a strong four-quarter performance.
“You always think you can be better than
what you are,” Hardwick said after the match.
“I still think we’ve got enormous upside. We competed around the stoppages pretty well today but we weren’t overly pleased with the movement from stoppages.

“Our transition from the back half at stages wasn’t good enough. We can certainly find things we need to fix.”
After two strong team performances against finals contenders in the past two matches, Hardwick said the players are starting to play a more consistent brand of football.
“I think they’re just doing things to a higher level of consistency, and that’s what the good sides do,” he said.
“You look at Geelong, Sydney, Hawthorn, these sorts of sides. They just don’t make a lot of errors.
“We certainly go through stages where we do that, and we have to improve, but I think that’s the one thing the side is starting to do, is becoming more consistent over the four quarters.”
Richmond plays the Western Bulldogs next Saturday night at Etihad Stadium.
