Little things that annoy you....

Allow me to contradict myself regarding the above post.

"Jack and I both have an allocation of football tickets. If you would like one, could you see him or I." This is correct. You could also finish that sentence with ".....could you see myself or him.", as long as it was clear that you were referring to Jack when using the word "him", which you should have done as recently as the previous reference to Jack, so as to avoid confusion.

I also get annoyed by PRE blow ins that spend 4 hours on PRE drinking home brew and read 30 pages of posts before responding multiple times to multiple posts and simultaneously hogging posting space and wasting time referring to older posts that have long since been forgotten.

Anyone who drinks homebrew is alright with me.

The telemarkarter scam ringing me up every 3 months telling me there is something wrong with my computer, i'm running out of games to play with these people, even when i was in between computers i had something wrong.

It is nice to string them along then tell them your on to their scam and then the lovely sound of "beep, beep, beep" after THEY have hung up on you.

Just come straight out and tell them that your phone line is being recorded by the police - they won't ring again.

Having three days of heat and the media calls it a heat wave.

Used to be called summer.

People that say "LOL" when they think something is funny...I'm not talking about a text message but an actual conversation.

Agree, but every time a knob lights a flare the media can get away with using that label.

Then there are the pitch invasions......

Or perhaps the media generally turning a blind eye on the anti-social element at A-league games compared to the NSL and state leagues. Back in the NSL days, commercial TV channels (who had no vested interest in the game whatsoever) would amazingly have camera crews set up at certain games just waiting for something to happen so they can run a big back-page story to discredit the league and the clubs.

Big things that annoy me.....

Car insurance spinners.

For the last 3 years I've had huge increases in my premium and it's happened again this year.

Last year I called, complained about the huge premium and reminded them that I'm a Rating 1 driver and should get the 15% discount. So what do they do, they send me another invoice with a reduced premium in which I paid, only to see that reduced amount now added to this year's premium.

The factors they use to calculate premiums is absolutely laughable !!!

I tend to agree but I benefited from their calculations. Living in Gippsland, my address changed by about 15kms, from a small country town to a larger one, and my premium dropped by $160. Even the operator couldn't tell me why it was such a decrease.

Maybe they will smack me on the next one...

Ads for funeral plans on TV. What a pile of horseshit. Creating demand through guilt marketing where there was no demand. Bloody hell, you bring up your kids, feed them, clothe and educate them, probably kick in for a house deposit or first car, probably leave them a few grand when you die, then you are meant to feel guilty if they are left with a funeral bill! Isn't the least they can do is to spring for the bloody funeral?

As an aside a friend of my dads had his kids home for xmas recently. They were sitting around the dinner table, my dads mate, Mick, son (who has been bailed out of failed businesses on multiple occasions by Dad) says 'dad, do you have a funeral plan?' Mick replied 'yep, I die you pay'

Going to get a TimTam to find someone had stolen the last one and left the empty packet in the fridge.

Even worse when it happens at work in the office kitchen fridge.
