Little little May

Sam McClure has just given a blow by blow rundown of the fracas on 3aw. ... don't think old St Max was completely up front yesterday.

Basically the story is that May was not the only flag player to put *smile* on Joel Smith for missing out.... full of *smile* blokes that Melbourne it appears.

Anyway after Melksham told him to pull up.... May asked him outside..... they went to a park over and down the road where allegedly a number of scuffles took place with other players.

Apparently May then took a number of air swings at Melksham..... who promptly sat him on his arse with 1 punch.

McClure is refusing to name a couple of players who instigated the 'banter'!
All the players knew that May shouldn't be drinking because of concussion protocols, yet still got on the grog with him. They should be fined by the club. Now wouldn't that cause a sh!t storm.

Melbourne potentially imploding may mean the competition is wide open. We gotta get our stuff together and figure out how to win more clearances.

What May said to Smith and then to Melksham is cancer. no two ways about it.

Footy clubs are the same from top to bottom - you can't say that *smile*. it wrecks your fabric.

this bloke is a massive loser. so he has a problem with alcohol? cry me a river. GTFO

the club should be looking to move him on. but that won't happen because Goodwin is a muppet too.

can't win the flag with that forward line. they're done.
Haven't they already won a flag with that forward line ?

against the western bulldogs

who probably have the worst back six in the league

fremantle wins a Dockers-Demons GF, but only if Fyfe plays forward

They’re coming out of the woodwork:

some guys are dickheads, and i can (sort of) understand fights on end of season trips where they are probably proper wasted- not condoning, but understand it will happen. but how do team mates get to the stage of throwing punches out for dinner mid-season? either really drunk, or there is true bad feeling. all the talk of mateship rings a little hollow i reckon.
if they keep winning all will be fine, but if the losses mount there could be a bit of fall out i reckon

The Dees are a protected species, there was a big coverup with Grand Final Gate, when those 2 self entitled schmucks got into the change rooms after the game and then onto the ground later on that night with the players. One of them was a friend on Facebook with Gill McLachlan..........................................
Gill said as long as no kebabs were harmed there’s no issue.

Goodwin says: “ Join the dots and see where it’s all coming from.”.

Glen Bartlett.

You do realise they won by over 70 points though, I don't think their forward line is the basket case you are making it out to be.

If this is true, the culture is shot.

How bad is it that Melksham looks like the good bloke in all this?

Yeah there is a definite trend IMO.

Hunter - serious incident with booze during covid - slap on wrist
Sidebottom - serious incident with booze during covid - slap on wrist
Stack and CCJ -serious incident with booze during covid - came down like a tonne of bricks - league intervened

May and Melksham - fight at a bar - slap on wrist - did the league even get involved?
Bolton and Rioli - fight at a bar - tonne of bricks - league intervened.

Dunno if its persecution for being a Richmond player or being black.
Can’t say too much but you’d be stunned to hear that Gil wanted to suspend Shai for 5 games after that incident. They had to negotiate him down to a $20k fine.
RFC are quietly seething at the difference in treatment between us and MFC

how bad must May have been acting that Melksham hasnt been punished for punching him?
And yet May has only been suspended for drinking whilst under concussion protocols.

it all stinks a bit, and either reflects badly on the entirely footy club, or really badly on May.

I just like how they tried to fob it off and brush it away under the rug but as the days go on more comes out to make them look foolish.

"Quiet seething" ain't enough now and it'd good to know that the RFC is prepared to be a more forceful and direct with the AFL in pointing out this discrepancy

Still wondering why not much has been mentioned of the other 2 premiership players who may have been a little bit chirpy!
