Kane McAuliffe

Jeez what steal at 40. Suddenly our midfield going forward next 2-3 years is looking bullish as.

He has to play if hes going over surely.
Not necessarily. He's from SA so club might see this as a good chance to experience a trip away with the group and catch up with family. Would think he only plays if a mid is a late out.

There is no way Kane could play KMacs role, he would last 5 mins and would be on the side lines vomiting everywhere.
KMac has been fumbling his way through games for about 12 months. Has been a very good player for us but is not the player he was.

Could McAuliffe cover as much ground ?
Probably not quite yet. Is he cleaner? Is he a better kick? Yes and by a very long margin, he is both.
Closing in on a midfield spot and will be putting pressure on KMac to hold his position.

Kamdyn doesn't play midfield.

Kamdyn doesn't play midfield.
Not meaning that he is but when you consider the others skill set and the teams future needs, can see him replacing K Mac on the wing as part of his education.
Of the two current wingmen Pickett still the better player but both were well down until the Sydney game where Pickett was excellent. Pressure right across that line coming from quite a few, which is good.

Could come quickly.

Yes but we have other players who can play on the wing, as effectively as Kmac (who is not playing well), and that can create space in the mid or HFF for McAuliffe to rotate in and out

The club has created good hint about whether a player is making his debut or not by the phone call home video. There is no video for him so I would be very surprised if he is playing.

VFL form is still not being consistently rewarded it seems...
How so?
Sons has a good game in vfl r1, comes into the seniors.
Brothers Nai and Ralph in the squad after good form in the vfl (tho i suspect Ralphy will be cut or emergency)

Its McfnA that has blitzed the vfl but not yet promoted. It may be a combo of fitness, youth protection or team experience that are the selection factors.
Dont want to burn him out.
We have too many youngsters already for consistent performance.
I'd think the MC would love to get him in the team, but are thinking long term
