Lever was mocking Townsend about his stutter, really?
Well I'll look forward to that rematch with gusto.
Good on Caddy.
I reckon Richmond has taught a few clubs some truths about Lever given the way the Geelong boys got into him on the weekend. He doesn't like the hard close stuff too much

have heard it from a few places that it did happen. now i hope im wrong but the fact ive heard it from a few decent sources makes me believe its true. mods feel free to remove if i have over stepped

Bit stiff not to get any coaches' votes. I had him best-on for us.

Anyway, liking what I have seen from Caddy. Unusual for a bloke to play his best footy at his third club.

I think the one tall in the forward line is a bit over played by the media ,

Caddy fills the void ,

And we get more value out of him than the 2nd talls we had been playing the last few years anyway

Exactly Kiwi.

He plays tall.
He can mark.
In your face.
Flys the flag.
Can kick goals And
Go into the midfield.

If what is being said here re Towner , not on and I can't wait to play Melb and Jacob lines up against Lever to get reaquainted ! And Caddy is near by.

What a pick up.

Disgusting if true. There is a line that should not be crossed & that sort of thing is way over it

Agree.

But in a Grand Final I reckon most lines would be readily crossed if people thought it would help get the Premiership. It's a different set of rules. Though that doesn't mean there shouldn't be any retribution for whatever line is crossed at the next meeting.

Not defending it in any way but you would reckon it wouldn't have been anything Townsend hadn't heard before. Kids in the schoolyard are merciless.

What is important is that he knows his teammates have his back

Disgusting? Maybe but it sure fired Towner up. :cupgold

Yeah it was a poorly thought out high-stakes move if true. As sin said, he would have grown up with it. Poking the bear can backfire more often than not.

maybe thats why JT developed such a vigorous shaking technique?

It'd be pretty hard to make fun of a blokes stutter when your heads whipping at about 180 strokes/minute.

if you were trying to imitate a stutter at those sort of g-forces, it'd probably come out perfect and seem really silly?

If its true, thats a serious, export quality *smile*head

Would have copped it as a kid.
But get the feeling he would have dished out a few knuckle sandwiches.

Surely you are forgetting the agility, awareness and hard working TV?

He did it at the end of the first quarter in the GF after Townsend had his shot smothered. Just watch Lever.

That's why from there on Townsend went into every tackle looking to hurt.

Caddy ripped into Lever all game long.

It's true.
