Josh Caddy

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

1 week ago Cats wanted Lids and 27 for Caddy and 37. Club held firm.

Now they land Caddy and 56 for 24 and 64 with Lids to go. First round pick (doesn't matter what year) means it is a huge win from where it started.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Will be a great addition to the half back line. :clap

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Anyone who thinks the Tigers have flubed this years draft is kidding themselves and will be a Darksider even if we win a flag.
Prestia ! Caddy ,Namkervis + 13 or 15 draft pick starting 18 +27 draft the side has improved greatly already ,if wd can get a fit Yarren , conca and Lennon i think the Tigers can play finals ...,

Meh.

Would rather have drafted a good kid in the deep draft.

Yet another plodder at RFC. My Geelong mates will be ecstatic.

Not sure of him being a "plodder", runs a sub 3 secs for 20m.
Your mates must be in the minority then, pop over to the cats board on BF for all the melts.
Wells is copping plenty of criticism, he'll have his work cut out for himself.

So where does the recruitment of Caddy and Prestia leave guys like Conca, Andrew Moore, Townsend, Lambert?
If the new recruits work out (and I'm hoping like hell that they do), I think you'll find next year, the club won't be too active in the trade period and will turn most of that group over to invest in the draft. Obviously not Conca, as he has just signed a 2 year deal.

If we are active at all, I'd think it would be trading a player or 2 for draft picks. Not topping up on more players.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Welcome to Tigerland Josh.

Really happy with getting Josh. A Cats mate of mine is really disappointed as he reckons he was a really good player.

If we can get a 1st rd pick for this draft from GWS for Lids then this would have to go down as one of our best trade periods ever.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Will help other players be effective.

He's an enabler and a very good one.

Wasted at Geelong who have two superstars who get their own pill.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

I'm happy, some trade cred finally gets to Richmond.

Held out against Carlscum last year and stuck a big pin in Geelong's butt this year.

Maybe in future trade periods we might start being treated like serious players instead of gullible dills!

Add to that, avoided a shafting by Melbourne for Trengove. That was also last year wasn't it?

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Don't know much about Caddy, but by the number of Cats fans expressing their angst about it on SEN, it might just be a rare win for the Tiges!

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Very best of luck to him!

After attempting to bolster the team with recycled hacks it's pleasing that they have now drafted a couple of proven players which will genuinely improve the team

Rids ur mates are perhaps the only ones to be happy, all im reading is cat fans spewing, some of my mates at work well 3 of them when i mentioned it yesterday they hope it wouldn't go through...
We get smashed in the midfield prestia and caddy will help...
Remember we still have picks in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd roundd
A+ trading on the clubs behalf

I think this is the key, its not necessarily just what Caddy brings but also what he brings out in others.

Did not want him for a straight swap with Lids, but the trade deal is broadly around his mark, so pretty happy.

Also, like the comments about Lynch, we have 2 out of 3, hopefully its not 2 out of 3 ain't bad and a bit more of a full house in a few years!!

Future 1st and future 3rd for Lids. Nothing for this draft
