Jeremy Cameron eye gouge

Any sane person with normal instincts ducks when they see or sense a blow coming to the head. It's a reflex action, not even requiring a decision. Like try have someone (your partner?!) pretend to hit you unexpectedly sometime. Cameron's arm was swinging violently at Shai.

Later I saw similar actions on both Jack R and Tom Lynch, not even a free.
I agree with you, but this is how it gets reported.
'Jezza' plays for Geelong, and is an acknowledged superstar of the game, he can do no wrong.

Agree, but if you are wrestling with a dude for 2 minutes you'll get a fine, simple as that. The last suspension for the bump was worse, I don't think Marlion will care much about a 1K fine.

In Marlion's favour he flew the flag.

How does Marlion stop wrestling when there is a 100Kg gorilla on top of him?

Jezza played for Carlton, Cameron is who you might be referring to, he's the guy that kicked the first goal in the 2019 GF and that was a third of his team's goals for the day :ROFLMAO:

A better question might be how do you stop when a 100kg gorilla won't let go of you as when I looked across from my position under the Southern Stand it looked like Marlion was on top for the latter part of the melee, but I didn't see the whole thing from start to finish.. But as is usual in these wrestling fines they fine both parties, that's the way it is. Of course this doesn't play into the perpetual "oh woe is us" narrative of this board, but probably better to focus on the real drama here, Prestia getting KO'd and the umps not stopping the game.

We can do both. Multitaskers that we are.

sure, but given wrestlers get fined would suggest multitasking something else.

My conclusion after 20 years wasting my life on PRE is that people love to be perpetually outraged.

I did put the ' ' around Jezza. A more appropriate nickname would be *smile* wit.

No, a better question is: where is the fine or suspension for Cameron for grabbing Bolton in a headlock seconds earlier, or even, where was the 50m penalty.

I have always argued the umpiring is sub-standard because of incompetence. I am starting to wonder whether sheer unadulterated bias is just staring me in the face.

Jeremy Cameron is AFL product and was endorsed by the AFL machine. No surprise.

For some years now I've been planning Cameron posts, but not posting. In his second last year at GWS, Cameron (who Damien Hardwick classifies as an outside small) was the the most toxic presence I've ever seen on a football ground.

In the 2019 GF Cameron was below a cipher. He later tweeted that he was leaving the club because his team mates let him down in the game.

Watching him play was excruciating because values. I couldn't post the stuff because it was so ugly. Not that I thought I would be inaccurate in describing, in detail, his onfield disregard for anything but his own second-by-second toxic mood, but I thought he might improve.

I think Cameron put himself on the table in 2020. (I dunno.) But he improved. Worked for a living. Got better. Less of the characteristic poison of his heretofore career.

And when he went to Geelong he'd improved for a year. (Their idea IMO.) And Scott started to play him small. (Scott=smart.) And he became a footballer, if a small one.

Scratched Marlion's cornea? Jeremy Cameron keeps trending up. That's a dog act. He used to be a disease.

Since it turned out that Marlion was in fact on top of the 100kg gorilla I suppose you had to find a new "better question" to ask.

Like many of his cohorts at the Cunttery he's definitely a nasty piece of work. Always tries to hurt.
I remember him trying to squish Baker in the 2019 Grand Final. Gets away with a heck of a lot that other players don't.

Are you from the Northern Hemisphere where things are the other way up?

I can only assume from this that you concur with the umpire's decision that ripping Shai's head off should not have led to a 50m penalty.

And by the end of it Marlion was on top, confirmed by both me and others at the game. I guess you weren't there or weren't watching. Marlion's a tough cookie mate, and came out on top. He can look after himself.
Both wrestled, both fined. Big deal.

Marlion would do the same thing again next week and wouldn't give two hoots about the fine. What else do you want?

The constant sooking over this trivial BS gives me the *smile*.
