Jake Aarts

Best I’ve seen him play Aces.

Don’t care what numbers he got, his work rate and hunger was insatiable.

He’s had some pretty good games this year despite a persistent group of knockers.

His work to set up Graham’s first goal was Richmond personified. Just pure tenacity.

He is strong around the hips. Very hard to tackle. But he is a workhorse. Just keeps giving a contest.

Has really refined his tacking technique now. Makes his tackles stick and is not giving away silly free kicks

Castagna and Aarts both very good overhead markers too. IMO = upgade on Butler (but without Butlers pace)

He’s definitely gone up a peg, occasionally bites off more than he can chew however I dare say he’s under orders to take it on

George can jump and take them on his chest but Aarts has surprised with his aerial strength.

Jeez he won't die wondering.

They've been kicking to him in marking contests a bit lately. Not sure he's that good though. I remember we went through a phase like that with Tambling.

I think Aarts has been fantastic this year.
Nice kick, good hands and always been involved.
What pick was Aarts? Compare him to Wombat Higgins??
The recruiters burnt a quality pick with missy.

Agree on Arts, disagree on recruiting.

Recruiting isnt an exact science, talking retrospective is plain silly..

Arts is a great example, took him until 24/25 to make it.. People mature and improve or stagnate at different ages, development and/or circumstances..

Understand the chatter and everyone has opinions but retrospective recruiting is just silly.
