be a great get to have around the club with the incoming 18 year olds. keep them grounded early in their careers and understand the hard-work required at a young age. so many high draft picks don't appreciate how hard the business of AFL will be- so having them around a bloke like Jacob and hearing how he has managed to stay in the game for 10 years will be good for them. humble and overcame adversity with his speech impediment. VFL player and depth only; but what a great role-model. Just sit all the new draftees in a room with Jacob during their lunch-break during week one and have them focus on him only whilst they watch the second quarter of the 2017 GF... they will understand a bit more how much hard work it takes to be a Richmond man and they can aim to earn their team-mates respect.
