Jack Riewoldt [Merged]

But you don't play 700-goal forwards as the loose in defence. That's for the Hodges of the world.

Poor Jack. Found his thread on the 4th page.

298 Games, 699 goals. What chance that he hits both milestones in the same game?

Based on the fact he's only not kicked a goal in a game once this year and only twice in the last 33 games, I'd say a teeny weeny small chance

Still has a big role to play this season and in 2022.
Will find his way to being a really contributor and team man in his remaining time at the Club.
Even though he's getting on, find the right role for him next season and he will surprise many people.

Im surprised he survived the Baker pass. He looked like he Kod himself on that shiitfull surface.
Thats the worse 15 pass ive seen this year.
Jack isn't 25 but still busts a gut out there.

Could've got a couple of frees early, didn't, and started playing for them. A little bit sad.

Presumably we'll draft a KPF at the end of the year and he will be Jack's project for next year.

Geez the cupboard is bare in the Jack succession plan. Given we haven't yet drafted his replacement, we will need to get creative next year, as Jack probably shouldn't play more than 12 games in total (assuming he plays on).

He has 4 *smile* games in a row now.
The west coast game he burnt 2 good opportunities to ice the game, the Stkilda game didn't get near it, a bloke called Willkie beat him, last week and this week he has been hopeless.
Im sad to see our older player's hit the wall all at the same time.

Don’t understand the Jack hate. Reckon he has had a pretty damn good season with horrible delivery. Kicked nearly 40 goals already and up there in Coleman. Marking well and still crunching packs.

Depends how you look at it. Yes, he has done those things. Yes, he is a champion.

But if we are a side looking to trap the ball in the attacking third of the ground, he can’t do that anymore.

Despite his smarts, opposition players are running off him, using him to launch.

The brutal truth is that unless our game plan drastically changes in 2022, we can’t carry that.

he was playing ok, til the last few weeks, he has been pretty ordinary since the last 1/4 of the Weagles game.
play him this week for his 300th, then, assuming we lose, give him the rest of the year off.

This game reminded me of his last quarter against the Eagles. Seldom fired a shot. I think he can still be a valuable contributor, but he needs to be a third tall from now on.

Agree with this. Solution is to play Jack out of the square and keep Tommy up the ground at chf. They play too close to each other and make it easy for them to be double teamed when packs are formed.

I'm pretty sure you won't find any Jackmond hate here. If that's what you're looking for, go to an opposition or umpires appreciation website.
