Jack Dyer Medal 2021

It's fked how Players like Rich and Dale get selected in the AA Team.
Where 99% of the footy public would have Grimes in there back 6.
The selectors are a disgrace
Dale is actually the most dangerous weapon off half back for the Dogs and has been a revelation back there his kicking to position and ability to hit targets is something the Tigers would love to have off half back.

Forget JJ and the Helmet they are overrated, Bailey Dale has become their quiet acheiver, the go to man out of defensive 50 for the Dogs.

Very handy Forward too.

That said he aint more worthy of an AA jumper than Grimes, no one is.

Yeah. Just shows again some hate towards us. Best team in 4 years and barely an AA. This season we drop and obviously it's 'their' reason to give us a big fat 0. Rising Star is the same. Main reason I don't rate AA.

On tonight.

The All-Australian team is also named this evening on Fox Footy.

JDM email only arrived Tuesday.

Seems like a hastily-arranged FU to the AFL.
And in a further FU we give our B&F to Grimesy around the same time they are dishing out AA guernseys to guys like Lever and Aliir x2

I actually reckon this is a bit farcical.

RCD 4th year player; 9 games in the guts @ 15 disposals.

Melee 1st year player; 13 games lockdown on a HBF @ 11 disposals

change the name, or give it to a first year player.
Bizarre. Change the name of the award to "Best player to make their AFL debut this season at Richmond" perhaps?

Fken McCrae. Most useless 30 touches in the game and is selected in the middle.
Alir Alir does he actually play on an opponent?
2 defenders selected who don't actually play in a forward.

Debuted this year, sounds like a first year player to me. That's first year AFL player, there's a separate award for VFL. Can't see a problem.

Shai's broken wrist probably cost him a 1st or 2nd place finish based on the final results. Costly night out that turned out to be!

I also thought Mansell would get a few more votes than he did. 9 votes in 13 games - so he was therefore considered below average by the coaching staff in probably half of his games based on that.

Lambert polled very well, 35 votes from 13 games. He would have gone very close, as would've Broady.

Bolton’s form really dropped off the last 1/3 or 1/4 of the season. He maintains it, he probably wins or finishes 2nd even with the wrist.

Martin should have at least another 2.

I think if he didn’t get injured he would have won this one in a canter

Reckon Nigel may have played a little to much angry footy in his first few games. Just a smidgeon undisciplined while trying to mark his territory early on.
