Ivan Maric

I heard that the MRP initially found him guilty and he was to be suspended until they couldn't agree on which member of the panel was to tell him that he was to be suspended. They thought it easier (i.e. safer for their own safety) to let him off!!

Nah, if that was the case then Jake King would never be suspended.

thank god for that!

at least we dont have to listen to each other whinging and whining about getting picked on by the MRP again!!!

oh woe is us! ::)

Big Ivan seems to be loving being the main ruck at the tiges, is the number one ticket holder at st albans soccer club given his Croatian background and is best mates with cotch as well :D. Im pretty sure he loves the melbourne lifestyle instead of the ghosttown of adelaide.

There was an interview with him in the Croatian Herald last week. Great to see the might Tiges get a few mentions as well :)

Our awards from the Melbourne Game just keep going.

Ivan won the 'Rascal of the Week' for his girly slapping and running away effort ;D This award is given by Bob Murphy on AFL 360 every week.

Great game again from Ivan. Really liked how Dimma pushed him back into defence yesterday to help out Grimes and Rance against Pods and Hawkins. Worked a treat!
I am loving that we have a physical ruckman capable of taking strong contested marks.

Its also great to watch a centre bounce and have an expactation that our ruckman will give our midfielders a chance for a change.

Is this the first time in a decade we have a ruckman who times his jumps well? Loving the big man at the moment. Hope he doesn't burn out.

That is a risk. With Ty close to ineffectual, it looked like Ivan had to do Eevan more yesterday.

I saw him at the EDFL on Saturday with Gus and Whitey. He was there to see a mate from Calder that he used to room with in Adelaide. I think he likes being back home

Ty wasn't great yesterday but he wasn't as bad as I thought. He actually spent more time in the ruck when we were kicking against the breeze because Ivan was dropping back into space in the back half. We didn't lose a lot when he was on the ball.

Agreed. His first half was the best he played all year (not saying much I know) but he certainly got more involved than he had in the past 3 weeks.

Not sure why Ty gets a bad rap when he is in the ruck. In time he will be our number 1 ruckman.

A big game for Ivan this week against Cox and Nic Nac, he will really have his mullet hanging out by the end of the game.
If he can go close to holding his own, we are a big chance.
