Its time to admit it - we have the yips!

Now where are we going to find a forward with a proven record of composure under pressure?
Clues: last week's game,:cupgold :cupgold :cupgold , Number 17, First quarter Dusty assist.

Yet another game where he might well have steadied the ship in a crisis.
I think number 17 is a great player but his errant bouncing of the ball cost us as well!

This season has been a mess from the start. The player we could least afford to lose was Lynch and our forward structure has deteriorated accordingly. Hopper out is also a massive blow - suspect he’ll be excellent long term. Gibcus also.

Anyway, we’re a mature and well resourced club these days - lots of decisions to be made and time to get to work.

Yep 2024 can still be good with some health.

I forgot about that one. 3 open targets i50 with a 4-1 and a turnover via bouncing the ball. Was 99% chance of a goal and we hit the 1%.

Will need some luck with ageing stars that play on.
I think more we need young blokes to step up. Need to arse a forward replacement for Jack and some midfielders to come good. Also Grimes to recover some form but not sure if that will happen.

Hoping that our untried youth like Brown & Campbell can actually be elite. From what I’ve seen of our exposed youth that’s playing, they look average - Green & Banks in the VFL look like soldiers at best and not stars.

Spot on re key forwards - we need an established player to partner Lynch plus two talented young keys to fast track develop

Our footskills are below standard either in front of goal or around the ground.
We simply cannot control the ball or take our opportunities in front of goal like other teams can currently.
It is murdering us.

The stand rule has really turned footy into a game of keepings off.
Chip, mark, 'stand'. Repeat.
Some teams are able to do this better & faster than others.
Seemingly we find it hard to do it at all with so many poor kicks in the side.

Name our best kick?
Maybe Short? Maybe Broad?
Definitely not flappers
Pickett Baker Tarranto or even Dusty.
Some *smile* in that 1st qtr.
Cotchin looking to give it off, kick the fken goal, Bolton always trying way too much.

Over the last 3 seasons we have dropped our standards and we're accepting mediocre again. The signs we're there preseason that our kicking and skills we're poor. To many players kept on when they should have retired or traded. Again short cuts in our football department our fitness and assistant coaches not up to the grade.

He has shiit all year.
The ones we would always rely on are the ones bending us over.
The 3 defenders all running back and it turned into an Essendon goal summed up where we are at with our back 6.
Broad is our most reliable..
Short & Rioli are quality.
But BigV Grimes Even Balta its 1 calamity after another.
I think alot of them see the finishings line.
It's closer then they think.
I wouldnt have given Grimes another yr.

Not simply the stand rule Oldie. Chip, mark, change angles and overlap run, kills us over and over if we sag off instead of getting in faces and climbing all over the oppo. Last night we sagged off big time n hoped the *smile* didn't hit the fan.
