Yes that is so.
But what i am saying is that is not the cause of congestion...it is a consequence.
The cause is too many playets able to get to too many contests.
This is what needs addressing.
I dont favour rule changes but the game this year is ugly.
Answer in short. .
Return to normal game lenghth and reduce interchange players rather than rotations.
Just accept injury issues as chance...maybe a sub.

Umpires just not good enough to make consistant difficult calls.

Dangerous tackle is another lvel beyond holding the ball/ no prior. That was simply a ball up 90% or holding the ball if you were very very strict 10% .... But it was nowhere near a dangerous tackle...

This is the elite level of the sport, we need elite umpires and clearly we don't have them.

maybe Clarkson should have proposed a revamped Umpiring School, a School for Umpires where they actually learn the game and how to adjudicate it, how to read the nuances of the game, correct decision making, how to make it less about them and the impact they make through nervousness, stupidity or bias. last night was just ridiculous.
