In / Out this week/INS AND OUTS/ Bowden Back in Team?[Merged]

Last night on SEN, Mark Robinson said that Bowden's demotion to Coburg would have been more to give him a kick in backside, rather trying to find form. Dermie then agreed, and said his attitude would have counted more than his actual performance.

I didn't quite agree, as Joel is the kind of player that needs to learn to take the game by the scruff, and if he can't do it at VFL level, how will he do it at AFL level?

when do they announce the final team for sunday games, and where can u find it on the web (assuming there is no motorola update for this info???)

I have heard on the radio that Richo and Stafford are in and Rodan and Marsh are out. Bowden and Zantucj to miss again.

Zantuck can consider himself stiff.Played out of position almost every game this season.Bites the bullet and kicks 6 in a foreign position in the magoos and still can't get picked.

No Zantuck huh?...looks like they are banking on Oloughlin having a bad one i guess, they never cease to amaze me with their selections.
They are going to probably ear mark one player for him with no thought as to what happens when he has just snagged his 4th half way through the 2nd quarter.
If what you heard is correct jayfox, then its a given that the selection panel doesnt have a clue.
How can you, even for insurance purposes, have Ty on the bench?

dmx you can click the modify button at the top of your post and edit rather than quote yourself in a new post.

Reports on SEN this afternoon said that O'loughin didnt fully train and is very doubtful for the game, Davis still appears to be injured also but they think he will still play. There was one other player they said looked doubtful but i cant remember who that was.

Two changes for Tigers

Sportal
Richmond has dropped David Rodan for the second time in a month and has resisted the temptation to bring back Joel Bowden after just one week in the VFL.

Rodan was dropped to make way for the return of Greg Stafford from suspension, with Stafford named on the bench to take on his former club Sydney on Sunday at the SCG.

The Tigers have also regained champion spearhead Matthew Richardson, following three matches out with a hamstring injury, with Ben Marsh the player to make way.

Rodan played his first 47 matches for the Tigers consecutively, before being dropped for the round four clash against Geelong, and is now back in the VFL after only returning for last week’s one point win over Hawthorn.

And Bowden will join Rodan in the reserves after he was only named as an emergency, after last week being dropped for the first time since round five, 1998.

The Swans have made three changes for the match, regaining star forward Michael O’Loughlin from a hamstring injury but losing another goalsneak Adam Schneider to the same injury.

Sydney also recalled Luke Ablett and Amon Buchanan for Jarrad McVeigh and Aaron Rogers, who were both dropped.

Those two were named on the interchange bench, along with Stephen Doyle and Jason Saddington.

Three teams have a bye this week (only two AFL affiliated)
Coburg, Springvale and Tasmania.
