Could be the worst to hit the US east coast in 150 years.

Good luck NYT and any other PRE'ers in the area. Hope the universe looks after you.

Hope they're all ok TF

Thanks Willo. Just gave the uncle a call and he said my cuz stayed indoors with the family through the storm and has massive flooding. As long as she, the hubby and kids are OK, I'm happy.

I saw some of the footage, it must have been bloody frightening to be amongst it all. poor buggers.
Glad to hear the family are safe.

Just heard the 2 kids were terribly scared. A lot of fixing up to do. Not sure if or how much insurance cover they have.

Can't believe how the US cops this disastrous weather almost frequently.

Buddy, Sharrod Wellingham, Josh Gibson, Scott & Adam Selwood, Luke Shuey and Jacko all safe in NY.

A good reference website.

Any news from your mates?

Yeah I heard from them last night which is a relief.

Good to hear.

There's nothing worse than when a calamitous event happens and it's hard to get in contact with family, loved ones and mates.
It's a big relief finding out everyone is ok. Thank goodness.
Heartfelt condolences to those who lost loved ones or friends.

I showed this youtube clip to my students today.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbn8NqDIz3Y

It was one of the first film clips that predicted Hurricane Sandy, and goes a long way to answer how, where and why "Sandy" came about.

I hope you enjoy it. All my students did.

I think they called it that because it involved the conjoining of 3 separate storm cells or systems in the same manner as the 2 front PERFECT STORM that hit last time.

One ponders what will be discovered amongst the remains of NY's secret underground community of homeless, as the infrastructure in some parts of NY are more like the worst parts of a 3rd world country, eg Crown Heights.

Given their poor infrastructure, rats, decrepit buildings, that disease may be a real problem.

As someone who loves New York, it's been hard to watch. I can't imagine how the water would reach the Stock exchange as it is halfway up a fairly steep hill. Bit like The slope of Collins Street. NY is the best city in the world, its something that must be experienced.

Phantom, what are you teaching?
