HOW ARE YOU ALL COPING?

Built a Minecraft server for the kids to keep them entertained. Stupid game. I tried it out, started digging holes because I thought that's what Minecraft meant, and just got stuck over and over.

Yeah, I am working from home and it is damned hard to keep at it and I have so much to do. Just fixing issues all day long.

We who keep our jobs and income are he ones who need to keep things going as much as we can, to keep contributing and buy stuff at the Tigerland Superstore online! I need to email them about something they have which isn't in my size!

Gil is on TV & with COVID-19 restrictions lifted & Gil states " the AFL will recommence with opening match last week of March 2021at the MCG. Due to financial status of the AFL it has now been determined for the AFL to survive two Melbourne clubs will be cut from the AFL. After representations from Geelong & Hawthorn they will not be eliminated. Geelong is in Geelong not Melbourne. Hawthorn will relocate to Hobart & rebadged as Hobart Seahawks. To be fair to the remaining clubs ,we, the AFL Board have decided to hold the two club elimintion process , in a Hat contest.. The clubs names will be put in a Hat & the first two names out will be eliminated from the AFL. This will occur now. Steve Hocking will draw the first name out. Thank you Steve ". First eliminated team is Collingwood. " Whats up ." " You need an Ambulance" ?. Yes Eddie has collapsed. Ok get him one. On with the process so now Ray "Razor" Chamberlain will draw the second team to be eliminated. Thank you Ray. The second eliminated team is Richmond ". .......ROBERT wake up , get out of bed or we miss our brekky...............................Phew just dreaming.

I've been trying to buy merch from the Superstore for a while now David but they never have M or L. Plenty of S, 4XL and 6XL etc, so I think the easiest solution is to pile on the weight!!! :D:D

Yeah, I'm after the dressing gown, they only have it in small. Mind you I'm trying not to put on weight, I normally ride around 240KMs a week getting to work but no KMs at the moment. Must find time to get out for a ride, just to get out.

I've had an anxious last month, I had a referral to see a specialist about a sun spot on my bottom lip. The day before my appointment the surgery rang to ask me some questions, had I been overseas in the last 2 weeks, had contact with anyone who had been overseas etc, etc.
I had been in contact with a mate who had returned from an overseas holiday, I couldn't lie to them, so I told them. The appointment was rescheduled for 2 weeks from when I had seen my mate.
With more and more new COVID-19 cases being diagnosed each day, I started to question myself whether I really wanted to have someone playing around with my mouth.
After googling, and seeing some horrific photos of peoples lips I soon came to my senses.
So I saw the specialist last week, and then again 2 days later for a biopsy.

I got good news today, the results came back negative.

I have been guilty in my youth, especially when playing cricket of applying sunscreen just the once each day. And in the real early days not at all, let alone on my lips

I'm am at the age where I'm starting to get quite a few sun spots, so please everyone smother yourself several times a day with sunscreen when you spend any length of time out in the sun.

Good advice there Tigerman. Know the feeling. I have had two biopsies on my face recently and now have to have a plastic surgeon remove two spots in May. Looking forward to that I can tell you.

I’m flat stick at work, can’t keep up. Easter looks so inviting.

Haven‘t missed footy cause Saturdays have been taken up with work.

Good luck there Graystar. I have had more than 20 skin cancers surgically removed. The build up to surgery is never pleasant but it’s best to have them gone. My advice is get checked regularly as the earlier you find them the less stitches you get!

my work is pretty much the same.

weeds keep growing, cows keep eating grass, people keep eating beef. I never made much money when the world was normal, but now my income stays the same.

often, farming can be quite lonely. Mostly its just me doing tasks and procrastinating alone, most of the day. I have smoko and lunch mostly on my own. I talk to cows and cockatoos and echidnas.

that's one of the reasons why I spend so much time on here I suppose.

But now, my daughter will bake a cake and make a pot of coffee, and my son will knock off school and my wife will knock off work for smoko.

its actually great. I've kind of got work mates all of a sudden. My job is great and I love all my new workmates.

if there was footy on, Id start a tipping competition I reckon.

I reckon our family bottom line is at least $250 a week better off too with the savings coming from reduced fuel consumption and eating 21 home cooked meals a week.

Its going to be tough mate, but the good news is that the rough bit is nearly behind you. Just need to get in the swing of it - staying home, music, reading etc.
And checking into PRE to hear the Zips' duds and the recurring quarrels

Maybe, could you play a regular DJ set and tell us all the songlist?
We could listen in with spotify/youtube on our time
Once upon a time I loved reading about the secret PRE clubhouse during the dark ages of the early 2010s

Yep, it is cheaper working from home. Commuting costs me close to nothing on a pushbike, but while I am going through mountains of coffee at home I'm not buying coffees for $4 a pop near work.

DJDazzyPete, get into the music. Music is magical and soothes the soul. I need to spin more records but too busy trying to watch the whole 2017 season and get work done at home.

Thanks Guys .. Big Richo , Davis SSS , Tigerdell .. oh the secret PRE clubhouse thats history wow . Brings back good memories of a few old PRE mates ..one has passed sadly but the clubhouse was good fun .. Esp when on the field the Tigers were well average at the time .

Definitely saving money. Mostly on beer by not being able to attend the footy though unfortunately. :(

Its been years since I've been able to save so much. I p!ss so much money on the wall on the weekend its a joke. no going to the pubs or footy, I’ve had to cancel a couple of weekends away interstate and getting that money returned. My trip to Europe in July won't go ahead, but the missus and I are considering going for longer next year instead. I'm even considering increasing my mortgage repayments.

as i'm still working at my regular site, I've gone the opposite way. my morning commute has gone from 30 minutes to 15 minutes, giving me time to stop at my local to buy a coffee and help the local business. I usually have Nespresso coffee at work, so its brilliant to get my barista made 3 shot flat white.

Looks like almost all are coping well.

What did concern a bit was the report this morning of all the dobbing in of those flouting the distancing laws.

Look, I understand how serious the virus is and know that the distancing law is to help stop the spreading of the virus.

Having said that, the old Australia way, was "don't dob in your mate." Maybe this isolation bit is making me paranoid??

Some times I think we are starting to live in a police state.

Must add here that wife and I are obeying the laws and staying home.

Cancelled our holiday to the Sunshine Coast, which we have done for many years now. Hope we get an airfare refund from Virgin, but doubt it.

Find it strange that Coles do not do home deliveries here in Shepparton. We are able to do this through Woollies though.

My comments for the day.

Stay well everyone.

Cancelled our holiday to the Sunshine Coast, which we have done for many years now. Hope we get an airfare refund from Virgin, but doubt it.

I’ve had to cancel flights from Qantas, Virgin and Tiger. Tiger gave me a credit voucher straight away. Qantas buggered it up and I had to call them to fix it. Virgin emailed me yesterday and said my flight is yet to be processed and asked for my patience (although it has only been 8 days).

I've also had to cancel 2 hotels, both booked via Agoda. They were originally non-refundable. One gave me a refund straight away. the second hotel is refusing to refund me or give me credit. they have only offered me to re-book for a new date... problem is that I don’t know when I am going back to Adelaide next (unlikely to be this year).

I have also refunded the Faith No More concert in Adelaide. Still waiting the money. it’s made trickier by the fact I had to cancel my credit card last week.
