Houli and Edwards - what now.

Gill said they are trying to facilitate families coming up so not sure how they plan to do that.

Some players with babies due are bringing their Mrs up to give birth in Qld. Others are waiting for the birth and then bringing the newborn up.

Shed might do that but Bachar has other issues with his mums health etc
Perish the thought of their children being born a “Queenslander” ;)

There may not be any footy in Victoria. Will we see these 2 again this year? Will struggle to win enough Finals without them..

Rumour is Houli will be up at the hub this week. If true, we'll know soon enough by the club.

Does anyone know when Mrs Edwards is due?

I heard a media report saying August - didn’t hear an actual date.

Research shows pregnant mums are one of the groups most worried during coronavirus with the risk of going to hospital- I hope they are doing ok.

Does that mean 2 weeks isolation? If so that still means missing the next 3 important games. Only 6 H&A games left after that. The ladder is very tight this year. Making finals may rest on doing well the next 4 games.

Doubtful either will be back this season and longer term injuries with Prestia, Nanks and Caddy will be small chance returning before finals and will be underdone. The footy gods not with us this year. Lucky if we scrape into the 8.

Veteran stars like Edwards and Houli will enjoy a real break (at least their bodies will). Freshen them up for the charge for the final series and of course the finals .

Have noticed in the past Edwards in particular taking a few games to get going. Wasnt in spectacular form up until his departure either.

I agree. Had it been a normal season I think it would have been Houli’s last, but with this break to freshen him up, he may give it next season before hanging the boots up.

Yes, he would have to isolate, Would miss 3 games and play last 6.

Is his mum out of ICU? If not can't see that happening.

She is on the mend and out of danger which is great to hear. That's the only reason I could see Bachar going to the hub knowing his mum is on the mend.
I'm hoping the rumour is true and Houli goes to the hub.

AFL flights i heard weeks ago one is going either late July or early Aug, if Houli is on his way then the late July flight seems about right.
