Hardwick

our run and link up through the middle and forward handballing has been quite poor. This has affected the quality of our forward entries. We have become a bit stagnant around the ground and can't quite find the key to unlock a clear path to release into F50 quick enough. As a result we are taking too long and allowing teams to flood our backline.

Hoping Blake didn't take the key to Essendon.

Blake obviously has a sharp footy brain. But if our coaches can't look at the behind goals footage and instruct the players on how to pick their way through, they are not worthy of the name. I know footballers are dumb, but it's not theoretical calculus, it's footy.

Agree but I'm seeing signs that concern me. I'm giving them more time and hoping it's just conditioning.

We have a couple of flood busters in our team but they were not utilized yesterday.

Balta and Short both can kick goals from outside 50.

Not just accolades for being a dual premiership coach, but he should get accolades for making the changes, building the culture and being so much more honest in press conferences and the like.

He is an interesting character Dimma, certainly very smart but that sometimes needs help too, but you also need to be smart enough to know when help is required.

Good points Dave a great coach has to be able to see his shortcomings or be humble enough to admit them when they are pointed out and gratuitous enough to accept the changes for the good of the team. and that was Hardwick in 2017.

The year is almost over.
How more weeks do you think Riewodlt needs to move quicker then a 87 year old.
Or Rioli, who is currently doing his best impersonation of Lance Whitnal.

Hardwick sat on his hands yesterday.
From the first minute Sydney had an extra down back, what did he do to combat that? Jack *smile*.
Either he told them to try something and they didn't do it or he was like the 100,000 watching at home, helpless.
He admitted 'we weren't expecting this' so what. Fix it.
Not sure if got his weather forecast checked either yesterday.
Wet from the 2nd qtr. Went into the game with Balta, Chol, Jack, Soldo and Lynch. Toooo tall.

Why did Hardwick ring and apologise to longmire??
Longmire still reckons he DIDN'T play extras behind the ball.
What a clown, at stages the entire sydney team were behind the centre square and the 50 arch was flooded in swans players.
*smile* apologising to him

Our biggest issue is our forward line not functioning , but even not working hard enough. We are currently last for inside 50 tackles last !!! that is one important stat in our game plan.Needs to be fixed the forward line.Poor delivery is also a issue to.

Another issue is that we a not coping with teams flooding against us and extra man in defence.Dimma noted this coaching needs to rectify it.Most games we lead inside forward 50 against teams ,but 3 games this year we have kicked 4,5,5 goals .

Longmire entitled to coach how he wants cut the moaning Dimma deal with it.

Don't agree we were too tall, didn't see much impact from the small forwards and don't reckon that having some good tall players in the side is the issue.

Tend to agree somewhat.

How long has Hardwick been coaching for?
Im Upset that he didnt want to do much once this was happening and its the third time this year.

Counter it?
Stuff backing our system.
Sometimes system doesnt work.

He was back to 2016 on sundey.
Sitting in the box sooking because they were stacking the backline.
What did he do from the 11 minute mark of the first qtr to counter punch it? Jack shiitt.
ZipCarcella, I would've moved jack to the wing, lynch to half forward and played Dusty deep with an open 50.
Then Use the "Footscary' pass to get inside 50.
Nearly every entry we had ended up on the full or a boundary throw in.
And that was shocking considering they had no Ruck they were able to march outside def 50 without an issue.
*The smalls were useless
*we had 2 key forwards unable to take a contested mark
*And we had the most shocking inside 50's ive seen in over 3 years.
Hit the short pass, look at freo how they got the last goal, a 11 metre pass. Collingwood were spreading wide then coming in the guts and hitting targets all night.
Hardwick should've looked at what he did before he gave longmire a clip.

Frustration is building.
This is either going to get better or it will just implode.
There's no middle ground.
Besides maybe WC, each contender has played a game that shows there brand and the way they want to play.
Since the restart you can't say the same about us.
Even before the injuries, nakas was in the 2's, Prestia was average, Cotchin was thinking about holidays and Edwards was average.
He needs to set an example NOW.
It dosent matter your a premiership player, if your playing poorly, out you should go.
North are tough, unskilled but tough.
Lets see it what happens, because this year is really frustrating to watch

This all gets nullified if you win the centre clearance and get a mark inside 50 or kick the goal on the run.

We dominated the HOs, as we should have since swans had no ruckmen, but few to advantage. HOs 32/5 but clearnances only 25/21, centre 5/5, stoppage 20/16. Sure we had best mids out but Sydanee depleted already, then lost Kennedy and later, Heeney. We should have dominated far more with several flag players still in the mids.

Once Soldo hit it 1/2m straight to his opponent in the ruck contest. Far too few of his taps went to our players' advantage. I know he is a work in progress, but I'm wondering about what our ruck coach is doing. Will never get a poorer midfield opposition.

For far far too long we have not been able to get the ball to Dusty or Prestia from the ruck contest. Cotchy is just a freak below his knees and frankly miles ahead of anyone on our list in that regard, so he just gets the ball regardless.

It is a massive problem with the way the game is being played now. We dont have the skills to play possession / switch footy and then find a target inside 50.
