Shout out to Dimma - made the necessary change at quarter time to not give the Power the easy switch across the ground, and they were stumped.

And also putting Shedda to half back.

Kudos!

No tricks coach, must have been someone else’s decision.

Where’s td to go e us the Balme update?

He coached 2017 team whilst under supervision & became a pop up premiership coach. Will still be a pop up coach if he cannot add another premiership to his bow.

Are you waiting for Dimma to fail, or perhaps even hoping he fails?

yep, that switch looked like it was going to get ugly,

and Dimma somehow stopped it dead?

probably Kmac and Brando were his main pawns in that move?

After yesterday Dimma is " Vires Acquirit Eundo " Besides that I do think yesterday was Dimma's greatest coaching performance. Animated down on the boundary whilst Hinkley up in the stand sucking his thumb waiting for it to happen.

Makes a lot of sense to coach from the boundary now the runners have been cut right back.
The brissie coach has done it from day 1 (I think?).

Noticed these posts elsewhere by Port supporters.

I noticed Hardwick on the sidelines. It seems like a thing with coaches these days. Hinkley too out of shape to walk the stairs too many times.

Fat coaches don’t win *smile* in the modern game check out Clarko, Bevo, Hardo, Simpo, Longo all carved out of stone versus Chubbs Hinkley

The Shane Edwards move to half back was one from left field. So far has paid dividends.

This isn't the Caracella thread? Don't you know, Dimma can't make any actual coaching decisions, it's all the assistants!

Port tried to play a similar gameplan to what Collingwood did and we were able to correct ourselves and nullify it. credit where credit is due. well done Dimma. :clap

Beveridge has Hardwick covered. Since 2015. 4-1....
Footscray have gone to the AFL and requested 5 games against us every year.

Get a gun key forward in, continue with bombing into 50 gameplan :spin

Going forward we seem to be without any real direction ... too much of a liking for a helter skelter approach which more often than not doesn't work nowadays.

Lockett and Ablett would struggle. That game plan worked and worked well, but it’s been counter attacked and it’s virtually redundant now.

Agree 100%. It appears, even allowing for injuries, that our original game plan has gone out the window.

To be honest, we would have to concede that last night we were a disorganized rabble and could only kick 7 goals.

Wonder if the loss of Caracella and the new support coach we got from the Saints has anything to do with it?

Remember, so far we have only defeated poor teams and been spanked big time by Collingwood, GWS and now the Bullies.

I do make allowances for our injuries, but what we are dishing up so far is not anything like our game plan of 2017 and 2018.

A plan B would be nice. But that's never been Beavis's thing.

Caracalla is still very much part of the coaching team.

Forget our 2017 & 2018 game plan with the 1 tall forward its not working anymore
How do we expect Lynch to be the sole tall in the forward line trying to mark against 3 defenders hanging off him?
Dusty or Caddy are not tall forwards than can bust the pack and take a mark
Need Lynch +1 other tall permanently in the forward line (Balta,Moore,Chol or CCJ) need to given a full game as a forward to give us another option
