Shouldn't it be in the Black Box? They always find that. Valuable cargo.

After briefly sobering up to watch the replay.

then briefly sobering up and watching it again.

and then ditching the sobriety, then watching it again.

I can see 2 vast differences between the live game and the televised game, and so far I've only really learnt 1 new thing.

Difference 1: Cats looked way more dominant in the 2nd quarter in real life than they did on the TV. the telecast didn't express how well they were set up behind the ball. It was like we were playing Richmond. I was deeply terrified. Not so much at the scoreboard, as at their structure and the terms of engagement.

Difference 2: The telecast didnt fully express the magnitude of our dominance in the premiership quarter. I was a bit shocked to see we were only half a goal up at 3/4 time. In real life, I was beginning to dare to entertain the thought of humming the tiger land tuba solo in my adrenally saturated mind.

New thing I learnt No.1: Jason Castagne was fantastic. I think he can be officially referred to as a big game player henceforth.

I will continue to post new things I learn for as long as I continue my cycle of sobriety, drunkeness and bearing witness to This Dynasty.

How good is the look on Dimma's face after Dusty kicks that last goal?

Shrugs off Danger like he's an Auskick kid, kicks goal of the year and Dimma throws the headset down clearly thinking "this is the easiest gig in the world!"

Dimma and the coaching staff were earning their bickies at Half time!

Very good point mate.

The scrambling to replace Nick and get Bachar through was an absolute masterclass.

Balta into the ruck, Astbury on Hawkins was the opposite of what happened against Port - and it worked!

Well played Dimma.

Geez I was wrong on this bloke in 2015.

This.

Just as a bit of a question, did you notice how Geelong set up against Richmond in the first half of the 2019 Preliminary Final?

I remember commenting to my daughter on the night, as we were at the ground, that Geelong were just totally blocking our ability to rebound off half back. We had seats on the bottom row maybe half forward/wing and the play was on the other side of the ground and I remember pointing to Geelong players and saying that their positioning was brilliant - no way forward for Richmond and Geelong were creating the turnover. Very similar, just damned hard to maintain and will provoke a counter-move.

I sort of knew this must be happening last Saturday but you just can't see it on the TV, they need to improve the way they cover football because you miss all of that in the modern game. Although it does make me wonder a bit about how teams did set up back in the 70s and 80s - were likely doing more than I realised at the time and can see on the old TV footage.

The Senate is at work and I've got a bit of free time today.

Think I might give the GF replay a run :p

Listened to the SEN Radio call. Was surprised to hear Lyon, of all people, call the Tiger turnaround with a few mins to go in the 2nd. Said alarm bells should be ringing for Geelong.

Admittedly it was after Dusty's 1st, but he was earlier than most.

How's Cornes and his "best player in the game" x3 re Dangerfield...... and the one that really got up me nose was calling Cotch a stager and saying he pulled one over the umpire in the last!
There's opinion and then there's just a bias driven by his undisguised hatred of us!

He’d be one prick I’d like to see have his face get rearranged.
