Goodbye Mabior Chol

If Chol did it they'd say cultural practices have to be protected. I'd like us to sing Tigerland tomorrow with every single player stuffing a finger up someone else's butt. Deal with that.

I detest the media. They are a bunch of low life parasites....presstitutes if you will.
There was no need whatsoever for Rimington to dig up this cheap rubbish for public consumption!

Even Robbo said it was crude but calling it racist & sexual assault was a bit far fetched.
I agree.
When i first saw it, i didn't like it but lets not crucify them.
Hardwick would've told them off.

They can make up for it by singing the song tomorrow afternoon

Personally I’m not into it , I never really found that stuff that funny , Like fart jokes , bit childish , but footy clubs are a bit like that ,

But I’m not offended by it either ,

It won’t happen again

I agree it's not a great look, but it's a beat-up "Who will think of the children?!" non-story.
Remington in his questioning of Dima, tried to make it a story about race. And it seems by seeking to engage the AFL, to also make it a story about Covid 19 and isolation.
Expect the press to try to get more mileage out of this today.

from news.com.au Chol “I have no issue whatsoever with those players, or any of my teammates,” he said.

“But (I) understand that is not the sort of example we should be setting.”

Straight off the bat, Dimma or the club should have used Mab's last line and put the matter to bed. Like it or not, there are forces in the media as well is opposition trolls that will always try to undermine us.

You’ll find they did use it. It’s in the statement from the club!

I didn’t know covid was an STD?

Who hasn't sack tapped a mate?

Having said that, it's crazy to do it in a workplace.

I think it's just a case of people getting too comfortable, and forgetting where they are.

I do hope there was some give and take with Cholly. If he was only copping the attention, it's a bit gross, and a bigger issue.

From what I can tell of the footy media, and media on a whole, they monitor twitter likes to get their stories. Does Hugh Riminton have a point, yes and so do you. I went and checked Hugh's twitter page, he's coping it. People have posted shots of various teams, both male and female, doing similar things. Some people have accused him of making it a race assault thing, because he has not shown the other images which feature white people. I reckon not much will come of it. Stories gain traction when they are talked about on social media, and he's been shut up a little I think = no likes.
Maybe he should stick to Foreign Affairs? There's a small story in Beirut he could be covering. Maybe he doesn't want to go there because it's full of foreigners?

It would be an amazing twist if this week the banner announced the Chol, Vlos & Short are in a gay, polygamous relationship. It could be enough to totally break the matrix

deep heat was a preferred choice at my club during the days.

I just see it as a socia trick from the internet. This type of reinterpretation trick to win brownie points never gets better by engaging with the topic.

Does Hugh Riminton have a point, yes and so do you.

I would argue he doesn’t have a point.

His point assumes Mabs is pretending to be cool with it but inside he feels pressured and has no choice but to accept because he’ll lose his spot in the team.

Like a female secretary in the 80’s feeling pressured by the sleazy, suggestive boss to get a raise.

That assumption of silent suffering doesn’t apply here.

Just because a situation can possibly be reinterpreted, doesn’t mean it’s true.

If this journalist did his homework, he would’ve factored into the story how Mabs had already posted it on his social media approvingly.

Will Hugh Riminton be attending Port Adelaide and St.Kilda press conferences this week to ask questions about alleged sexual assault at those clubs as detailed by photos in today’s media?

*smile* virtue signalling areshole. Obviously just an old media hack trying to keep himself relevant.
