Good on you Peggy O'Neal

That is a pretty serious level of recognition there. To be appointed a Chancellor of a University. Well done Peggy.

Chancellor's fulfill a largely ceremonial role, but they are appointed in part to promote the institution and inspire those who attend.

When I graduated years ago, the Chancellor of the University I attended was Fred Chaney. All of the students looked up to him because his leadership was phenomenal. That rare breed being a Liberal leader with a strong sense of social and specifically indigenous justice.

He presented me with my degree and spoke to me after the ceremony.

To be acknowledged by someone who I so greatly respected made it the proudest moment of my life.
Well done Streak. Think Peggy is cast in the same mould.

We don't have to wait till she dies before we have a statue of her alongside Jack Dyer.

Something on the punt rd wing
Would be unbelievable.
A statue of Hardwick Gale & Peggy looking over the ground but also seen by people driving past on punt rd.
Perfect position

Something similar to the holy trinity that is outside facing Old Trafford .
The Dennis Law, George Best and Sir Bobby Charlton Statues greet everyone that arrives to their Ground

A wonderful, genuine and unassuming person is Peggy.
I'm assuming she will automatically attain life membership of the club she has so astutely steered.
Football clubs need more personnel like Peggy. An absolute gem of a human being.

What a wonderful lady, and I mean lady, is our Peggy.
We are so lucky to have her as our President and to named Melburnian of the year, is no mean feat.
Congrats Peggy on a well deserved award, which focuses on your work for housing for women in difficult circumstances.
Nothing as yet on the RFC web site, but it is Sunday, so day off I guess.
