Tremendous effort by Ogilvy today. Bogeyed 4 out of the first 8 holes but then showed his mettle by rebounding with an eagle at the 9th and then 5 birdies over the next 6 holes to win by a huge 6 shots. Lesser players would capitulate and turn it up after a start like that.

Pockets a cool AUD $1.54 million in the process. Heh heh heh.....sweeeet.

Well done to Ogilvy,he seems to be our only real chance to grab a major this year.

or Davis Love III ...........what a name :hihi

Love is back in form. Won the final event last year, third this weekend. Another major not out of the question. He's still pretty solid.

The putter still is (and always has been) very dodgy.

"GREAT START: Leishman holds own on debut"

WARRNAMBOOL golfer Marc Leishman yesterday completed a stunning debut on the world's biggest golf tour in Hawaii.
The 25-year-old fired a five-under par 65 to finish tied 12th in the Sony Open at the Waialae Country Club, the second event on the lucrative PGA Tour.
His round, which included six birdies, catapulted him up the leaderboard from tied 41st after the third round. He finished at seven-under for the event, eight shots behind winner American Zach Johnson

Leishman pocketed $US87,971 for his efforts, the second-biggest pay-day of his burgeoning career.

A guy to watch!!

Very good final round in the Sony. Lots of good play from Johnson, Toms, Scott and Howell.

As much as I cant stand blithering Holy Rollers like Johnson, he was pretty gutsy in that final round.

Somebody wants to tell Allenby to go and get a putting lesson from that Katherine Hull chick. Great technique.

My old mate Nikki Campbell lost the plot badly yesterday. Didn't bother looking at it today.
