Can't believe it, I scored 2 tickets to the US Masters next year in the ballot.

So pumped right now, so lucky to be returning to Augusta for a 2nd time!

By the way what are the ballot odds?

Not sure MD, Augusta National dont release figures of how many tickets they give in the ballot or how many apply.

I've been trying for 6 years now and this is the first time I have been successful.

Given how easy it is to apply, and that it is open to anyone around the world, I would assume there would be hundreds of thousands, if not millions, who apply every year.

Plus its free to apply, you only pay if you are successful.

That's awesome Mopsy. Who won the first time you were there?
I would've loved to have been there this year when Tiger won.

Augusta would have been going off this year tigerman thats for sure!

I last went in 2014, Bubba's 2nd green jacket holding off Spieth in his first appearance in the tournament.

How’s it work Mopsy ,do you get a weeks pass or chosen day ?

You can nominate to attend on as many days as you want. Practice days you can apply for up to 4 tickets ($75 each), tournament days you can only apply for 2 tickets ($115 each).

But you will only get to attend for 1 day. I got the Tuesday practice round, which is fine by me as you get to see all the players, you can take a camera on course and then theres the fun of skip it at 16.

Thanks Mopsy, That’s so cheap for what they get up to . I think a day ticket generally ends up been sold for about $1000, I paid about $400, you can always trade em in on the way out for a couple of $100

I was there on a Tuesday as well, great way to see the course without to many there, if you early .

You're right Mr B, the prices people are willing to pay is insane. I just read the other day that the average price for tickets on re-sale sites is $2500 each.

How did you get your ticket? And what year were you there?

Good tip about selling ticket when leaving the course, hadn't thought of that.

I bought mine through stubhub which I use for all sports and concert tickets over there, great tip, buy your ticket just before the event starts , prices drop heaps. I was there in 2016, my tips get there before 8 , load up on your souvenirs , put your bag in storage, when buy a deck chair when the rope drops at 8 head straight out to where you’d like to watch some golf I,e amen corner or 16, set it up with your business card in it, nobody will touch it all day from where you place it. Definitely check out the back nine first, most spectators head out the front nine first and follow groups, so it’s agreat way to see the back 9 with not many around, practice fairway is awesome to watch some golf, if you want your photo at the front of the clubhouse try and do it early as the line gets huge. DONT eat the cheese and pimento sandwich lol it’s awful but it’s a must. Re selling your ticket, you’ll be approached by people as you leave, best to wait till you get a bit away from the course before you sell , people will pay good money if there’s still a few hours left in the day. Enjoy again Mopsy hopefully you get to see an Aussie win.

It must just have floated into the ear as the shot was taken Mopsy ;)

I have heard a story of someone having a pinecone, pine needles and some grass from Augusta .

The PC Sanga has the texture of a toothpaste sanga lol
