I am not one to complain about umpires, far from it.

But every time there was a contest today, I expected a port free kick.

It was appalling.

It’s a bit like ‘17 and ‘18 now. Plugging away for 3 quarters then streak away.

If ever there was a game that showed how Hocking’s rules are in disarray, this was it. Umpiring was horrible all round, we even got away with 6-8 that should’ve gone against us.

107.5 percentage is rising.

Yes it wasn’t that long ago it was 94%.

Great win, we didn’t get out of third gear and I liked our tackling - they were very slow to get up. Last week it was the GWS players lying on the ground and I thought they were just a bit soft, but given it was the same this week with the Port players, I reckon the tigers are lifting their tackling intensity in prep for the finals.

Can’t wait for the pies on Friday night - big game.

Umpires didn't make a scrap of difference today. Equally horrible to both sides IMO. We need to keep playing well to make them irrelevant.

Very happy with that win. The signs are there. The team is gelling together very nicely.
Plenty of teams going to be looking over their shoulders as the Tigers steamroll forward.

A win next week against the Maggots is the key to our season if we can manage to turn them over our belief will grow in a huge way.

It will also announce to all and sundry that they better start paying attention.

Poor Pricky Scott and the Cats !! The thought of facing Collingwood or the Tigers on the G in the Q/F is making them a bit shaky I reckon hence they are trying pushing so hard for a home final.
