It’s been that type of season. A few players short, a few poor umpiring decisions and a few what if moments in the game.
Haven’t seen our defence so badly beaten for a long time.
But talk about choosing to be beaten by what you know! We knew Gawn would be the difference if he played unchecked and chose to play Miller as a second ruck. Soldo tried hard, but wasn’t helped. Lots to fix before next year.

Despite some obviously horrendous cheating by the umpires, it is still very clear that this team is not good enough to contest finals. If you look closely at our form, not just W-L, since Mini took over, it is not that great. We have only beaten mid and lower ladder teams and mostly struggled to beat them; Eagles and Hawks games the prime examples. We took it up to Melbourne for 2.5 quarters but have suffered a 50 point turnaround since leading by 20 points halfway through 3rd quarter. Not good enough. Let an absolute hack in Petty kick 6 goals; he won't get near it in the forward line in the finals.
