GAME DAY - Tiges v Blues

Can anybody recall seeing two more miserable Tiger fans at a Richmond victory,

as Benny and Peggy, sitting next to Scott Morrison last night?
Looked about as comfortable as Trump meeting QEII.

Benny: "I think I can smell what Carlton's cooking"
Peggy: "No, it's just a giant *smile*"

I’m a deadset tech dinosaur David and usually have issues with this sort of thing. But last night it was a breeze; sailed through the gates without a hitch.
You obviously got there a bit closer to game time.

I got there just after 5-5:30. All the people scanning tickets for our area couldn't get in the gate (we all had Q-codes rather than bar codes).

We all had to go line up at the ticket window, presumably to get a paper ticket. By the time I got to the front, someone from Ticket master/Ticketek said we've fixed the problem, you can all come try your tickets now.

Hilarious shot.

the old 'where will I look in this silence?'

Our leaders are just praying for someone to come and engage them, but nobody wants to go anywhere near the poison.

at least he didnt have any black and yellow on.

Take the 4 pts and move on always a grind against blues and early rounds of year we a rusty.

Coming out of their D50, Carlton were able to slice through our zones relatively easily.
The Stand command for the man on the mark certainly helped create space.
Their short angled chip kicks were effective and we struggled to close this down.
I thought Carlton's adaption to and exploitation of the new Stand rule was better than ours.
Obviously many aspects of our game were a little rusty and our pressure was one of them.
Limited sample size I realise, but this new rule has the potential to reduce the effectiveness of our relentless pressure game, partic in our F50.
You have a point , but our restlessness pressure and intensity there is no blue print to beat that no matter how you change the rules in all levels of footy there always there.

He’s had some shockers but I don’t think he dislikes us. He’s just an oddball.
He loves incurring the wrath of the Tiger Army he loves it when they are outraged he 's digging it.

Its not the RFC he hates for mine but more along the lines of loving the reaction en masse knowing it is due to him.

Did you notice the Banner in the Carlton cheer squad?
"Carlton's Sweet 16"
Pity they are quickly closing on 37 years since there last flag.
26 years,, 10 to go
No one is still alive for their first 5 up to 1915.

They trotted out the same banner in R1 2018.
Visy is no longer kicking the can for free dunny paper I’d say! Hence the revision theory.

I reckon the blues got more out of this game than us.... they looked to be trying a pretty good new style... we were in honestly a bit same ol same ol ( even though it works) I reckon lego would’ve carved it up last night

The draft and especially the salary cap combined and screwed Carlton.

No more paper bags from CUB or the Coteries from the Carlton area.

They still don't seem to have quite figured it out.

They have no idea either.
How long do you keep a dud on the list? Casboult
Murphy is finished. Simpson at least could play.
Doh
Docherty is the most uncountable defender ive ever seen play the game.
Who offers Newes 3 years?
Who resigns Nick Newman?
Why is Will Setterfield still on the list?
They are no where near winning a flag.

Why do they always seem to have spuds cut us up?

Duigan, Casboult, Waite and last night McDonald.

They've still got Silvagni playing too ..................

They could've had Lambert when he was playing for Preston.

Couple of their fans that live near me said to me today Tigers are a one man side without Dusty we are *smile*.

I said maybe we are but can you imagine how *smile* Carlton would be without Cripps??

Without Dusty we might've only won 1 or 2 flags instead of going for 4 this year.

Shut em up real fast.

Someone said the opposition should target Dusty at 'thigh level' because he has too much upper body strength

Another genius suggested putting two players on him.

At that point I lost interest and switched off.

You're a patient man Spacey, I would've turned it off in the 1st minute :))
