Amazing what can happen when everyone is allowed to play to their strengths a la premiership years. Young guns contributed well today I thought. Let’s stop trying to turn sheep into goats and vice versa dimma.
Strange game. Basically got back into it via work rate (which was horrendous in Q1), taking the game on playing longer to 1-1’s plus our key forwards competing - Lynch & Cumberland were outstanding.
Made up for a first half strewn with errors & poor ball use. Regardless of what happens for the rest of 2022, we can properly contend again in 2023 only if we address clearance/stoppage. Sonsie is a find but needs inside mids to give him the ball. Really disappointed in Ross today (terrible) & Graham. Short can’t defend, so it’s midfield or wing from hereon.
Balta also plays back from hereon - that experiment is over too. Game changed when Balta & Baker went back & Bolton evened clearances.
