We are going to be without them forever very soon so it's concerning that what we've got coming through maybe not that great.

I reckon it’ll take another two drafts to top up with the midfield talent needed and new forward options; I don’t think we have any midfielders coming though, apart from Sonsie.

It seems the club chose to pickup who they thought were best available last year’s draft, but given the midfield cliff we are now staring at surely the drafting going forward will be raining midfielders.

Hopefully they can pickup a ready made mid during this years draft to fill some of the impending gaps, as newly drafted kids that aren’t in the top 10 will take more time than we have.

I thought the club was rebuilding on the run at the start of the year, but I reckon we are going to get caught out real soon, and mostly because of too many draft selections that just won’t make it.

The amount of holding that Jack had occurring to him today by Bazzo was downright criminal. The fact he barely got a free for it was absurd. I mean even when the ball was waiting to be bounced in the middle, Bazzo still had hold of Jack. I haven't seen Jack that animated at trying to push him away from him for a long while, which shows how absurd all the holding was.

You have seriously no idea about this game. Your love of George, disdain for Kmac and now this attack on Jack just show you have absolutely zero footy intelligence at all.

Gold Coast a genuine danger game however.

How can you say that about last year's crop ? way to early maybe Rcd ,Martyn and a few more a bust's. We haven't had the top notch picks like other clubs because of our success last 5 years nothing is new here when your era is over you have to rebuild.

Hardwick will stop all the leaks when he thinks we have enough scoring options. And enough stopping options.

He is focussed on scoring as at R16 2022. And he is very good judge.

93 Huge for us, huge for anyone. One of the commentators commented it is highly unusual to kick that score and lose in the last 20 years. Partly due to the fact WC rolled the dice like they were 9 points down with 5 minutes left, for the whole second half. It was very unusual, and ultimately unsustainable.

one of the better things about last week was the emergence of Baker and Ross as midfielders. Along with Short and Graham we need these guys to step up to cover our aging midfield. it would be great if Bolton also progressed into more midfield time.

Prestia is still very good when fit, but has soft tissue recurrences (as well as brain trauma)
Cotchin is well past his best, but has been pretty good this year.
Edwards has fallen off a cliff.
Martin has had many issues this year and midfield time is very limited at the moment.
Lambert plays only every 3rd week.

It will be interesting to see how the emerging midfield play today.

I would give the younger guys a pass mark for yesterdays emerging midfielders performance. They did Ok, but looked substantially better when Dusty was in there. Bit tough also when the opposition tap ruckman is so dominant.
No doubt we need another big and quality midfielder to join the ranks next year.

You seem to be a very unhappy person. It is an 18 team competition and if everything were equal, each team would win a flag evey 18 years. We won 3 in 4 years and you still seem to be as miserable as you were in 2016. If you can't get any joy from a win, give it a break and go and find something else that gives you joy.m hat will give us a break from your relentless pessimism as well.
