Game Day Tigers v Dockers

If our mids get into the game, we will run away with this. Winning the game and our mids have barely touched it.

Freo have been flooding most games but GWS broke it down easily last game. We still struggle with it. Apart from backline and perhaps Lynch and JR getting well beaten

interesting to hear commentators being complementary of us ...

No drama.
Our best players are just cruising .
Leaving it to the lesser players hence it is a grind and we see skill errors.
Anytime Martin or Shai or Bakes or Cotch or Nank or JR can step up.

Dow (time ahead for him), Higgins & Markov aren’t in our best team & it shows. Disappointed in Rioli & Aarts so far too - get involved & handle it cleanly.

Agreed. I reckon he wasn’t happy about being manhandled and flew the hand back. There was no reason for his arm to fly back that manner. We’ve witnessed his antics too many times; it’s annoying.

Was going to mention that when I saw the replay.
Commentary mentioned it.
He has that ‘sniper’ in him like Judd often had.

Inside 50s now almost even. Leading the frees was always going to be too goof to be true for long now down 8 to 9. Clearances 7 to 19. Dusty's being well held as is Bolton. Our 3 leading disposal winners are Short, Vlastuin and Baker (baker with 3 others). Fremantle bringing their A game but we're too polished.

We really seem to struggle for motivation against the battlers. Dominated 80% of the first quarter but couldn't get that on the scoreboard. After that the drop off in intensity was quite noticeable. Well beaten at the coal face and not playing like a team winding themselves up for finals.

But next week we play the Cats and you can guarantee we will be on. Hopefully we can be on in the second half tonight.

Its always different when you hear the 2nd batch of commentators. Reckon they've always been less clearly biased. Underwood and Hudson particularly have been very much straight down the line.

isnt it matter of lower the eyes and not bomg it when the flood is on...i dont understand why we need to bomg it into a flooded foward line....
Because we play with a vacancy at CHF. (Let GWS take Jake Riccardi at pick 51. Just what we needed + a KPD).
JR8 too slow to do the job.

We are going through the motions tonight; playing a crap opposition who only know how to flood.
Just get the 4 points and head back to the resort.

In theory yes; but when the forward line is a town square there isn’t always movement and leads being made by players through the haze of defenders in front and around them, and often mids have only have a couple of seconds to pull the trigger so if there isn’t anywhere obvious to kick to it ends up a bomb, which is then difficult to crumb due to 40 players in the forward line. Flooding is balls.

We are only leading by three goals - that just 3 free kicks to dockers in forward 50. We really have to extract the digit and get a wriggle on.

Hardwick needs to formulate a plan to beat the flood. Simples.
