Game day thread v Poos and Wees

Graham - unable to tackle? He had 4, which was more than 13 of our other players
He’s had 36 tackles, averaging 4 per game.
.
front on at the coal face where he's stationed plenty.
how many at stretch break free & runaway?
his shoulder/s are f d & have no strength.

Got me out of my seat
.. it "looked" like it might be dangerous.
Trouble was later in the game I was calling for a dangerous tackle in our favour. The words were barely out of my mouth when I realised I had fallen for Gills trickery.
It looked like it could have been an infringement was plenty good enough

He did jump, and if technically Balta’s action constitutes a free (which I don’t agree with) then pay it every time.

Broad was bowled over the same way in the 3rd or 4th Qtr and it was play on, which for me puts the notion that what Balta did is paid all the time in the bin.

EDIT
Yeah and as for playing for frees, Butler’s head duck was disgraceful, and not even mentioned by the flunky commentators.
the Balta free irked me in real time , thinking it wasn’t the spirit of the rule , then watching replay thought Baltas contact was high on the thigh, is the rule contact below the knees ?

sheds could be the best 35yo sub the game has ever seen.

Bakes needs a spell.

Gil and the Maggot have ruined our game
Bakes? Played his best game this year by far. No way he's being spelled after that performance.

Might not be as clean as we are used to but geez he was straight up tough yesterday. 7 tackles, 24 touches of which 12 were contested and 20 pressure acts. Thought he was great.

Thought it was a very good team effort yesterday , Bakes , Prestia and Lambert were excellent all day , Shai’s second quarter was match winning and then a really good overall performance from the team .

I’d like to see Sonsie come in as forward .

Reckon the Hawks are building nicely , if they cant get a bit for Chad, Mitchell and OMeara come seasons end they’ll have a good future .

love to steel Scicily from them as a free agent

Just as well we have Tarrant to come back. Probably should be rested for tomorrows game
I'd prefer just to have Gibber replace Balta n give Biggie another run in the seniors. Tarantula aint our future but the two youngsters are. If Grub, Flossy n Broad can't cover the heavy lifting against Essendrugs forwards next week our season won't be going anywhere anyway.
Biggie's got some learning to do, but he won't learn much at magoos it's got to be under proper heat in the ones. He also needs a big summer working on some core power as well, gets man handled a touch to easy as yet.

Since we’ve been a great side , there’s one thing that go’s missing on our poor games and that’s tackling , the last 3/4 ers yesterday was a great sign , lead by 4 of the very best Skip, Grimes , Pickett and Graham

It is fitness. All players don't just stop together. Same since R1.

I don’t know TF.

All our players can’t be at the same level of inadequate fitness. They are professional athletes. Some of the younger guys without a few years of conditioning maybe. The older guys I doubt it is a lack of fitness, more whether they have reached the point where they physically cannot perform at the level we have been accustomed to.

When a team stops so completely as we have the last few weeks, I think it is mental. When Hawthorn threatened late, we got our minds back on the job and killed the game with a couple of late ones.

Did anyone else hear one of the commentators clearly having a line after the match? It’s while our songs being played and players are shaking hands.
