That's exactly the one Richo is trying to highlight every week. That is a direct result of the ump not blowing the whistle. Graham has to stay in the tackle if the ump doesn't make a call. The result is always going to be they go to ground and that puts Graham in danger of the MRP. Very, very frustrated with the umpiring, of course, but the general refusal to pay HTB has been an issue for years. These new "interpretations" make it a HUGE problem for the players. It's such *smile*! ARREERRGGGGGGGGG!!!!!

Today was different.
The group looked energised. Confident even.
Our ball movement & determination levelled up.
Dimma walking away seems to have had a positive effect.

Just the usual few token ones at the end when they failed to get Freo over the line, to make the gullible think it wasn't so blatantly rigged to ensure the Tigers were defeated. When the game was in dispute 17/3.

Great 4 quarter effort with no assistance from the umps at all! (71 tackles for 1 free for (Pickett - in last 5 minutes))
There was a holding the ball free paid against Taranto in the first quarter (minimal or no prior) - there were at least 10 similar not paid to Tigers).

We were great in the clearances and even though we narrowly lost centre clearance we didn't give up any easy exits. Few thoughts.
- Short is a weapon beyond 50 - its quite often not that hard to find those kicks - we need to look for that more -especially when forward line is clogged (as it will inevitably be next week against Rossies Saints).
- Jack Ross best game - stringing consecutive games together is the key for him. A couple of amazing bits of play. You can see his confidence building.
- Samson Ryan needs to keep getting games (he has been stiff with the weather in his short career). His ruck work is good. Put another 10-15kg of muscle on that frame and he will be a weapon. (not many bigs can kick as well as him!)
- Love Dusty playing more on ball - his two passes to Jack in the 3rd made a huge difference.
- We are a better team when Prestia plays like that - was awesome in 1st half (as was Taranto).
- Loved our small, quick forward line (Jack, Dusty, Mansell, Marlion, Baker, Bolton). It's dangerous and hard to stop.
- Baker is better for us as a high half forward. So creative.
- Is there a better wet weather player than Vlaustin?
- Graham is an important player for us - may miss next week. (Agree with other posters - if we ever get a holding the ball decision - this doesn't happen)!
- Mansell will probably miss next week - Coulthard or MRJ would be ideal replacements.
- Best game by Bolton ever I think. There was no showboating, cheap frees etc. His run and carry and penetration of kicking was the difference).

- Think Juddy Clarke is struggling a bit - he was ok but needs to be stronger (understandable at his age). I think he will be a decent player but maybe needs a rest (perhaps bye comes at a good time).
- Not sure HRS is going to make it. He needs to be more decisive.
- Think Young needs a rest - soundly beaten by Amiss - perhaps give Biggie or Miller a shot down there.

He really struggled yesterday.
I thought he was tracking upwards prior to injury.

The thing is the umpires have been blowing the whistle at times and not at others. This is very similar to the Broad case, a result of the umps not blowing the whistle. Unfortunately I think Graham will be suspended.

LOL - Thanks for the feedback nuffy I”m going to ramp it up next week just for your benefit now.

I”m unfairly judged also. I like all our good players it’s only the *smile* ones I bag. Ross, Ralphsmith and Young in particular

This was the most impressive 4Q performance for the whole yr…inc the Geelong game.

Graham suspended? As bad as the MRO is I can’t see that happening. Dangerous tackle free does = weeks.
