GAME DAY Rd 13 - against the Pepper Power at the home of the G

Prestia needs to work harder when we don’t have the ball. Port players running away from him and around him all night. His efforts leading up to that last goal were very poor. He also needs to use the ball better.
Can't imagine how we'd be going without Prestia, he's had 3 of our 5 centre bounce clearances. It's the same issue issue, our midfield is too old and slow to impact defensively.

Until we stop this fancy football passing, we won't win a flag. Jack is a culprit of it as much as Shedda. Jack could've kicked a proper snap instead of dribble and that would've quietened Port for longer.

Soldo seems to not have the lower body and core strength to hold his ground. If he can't help the team win clearances then his spot in the team must be questioned

Lairising is always where the rot starts with this side. And it invariably starts as soon as the Tigers get to a 4 or 5 goal lead.

It is usually followed by the Tigers wasting golden opportunities to apply scoreboard pressure which will kill off the opposition but then results in stupid frees or easy goals to the opposition.

Swap gibcus and balta around. Balta needs to get his confidence up and get his hands on the ball and gibcus might flourish up forward

The game has changed. Sloppy, scrambly football is not enough any more. Our successful GP has brought about much of that change so almost all teams bring elements of our game: FH pressure to lock the ball in; hard chasing and tackling across the ground; rebounding rapidly from D50. We have no clear advantage any more as most sides use this against us now. Then there's clearances diff and from stoppages which has become a chronic waekness, as you see tonight. Playing 2 ruckmen and still being pantsed by a team with no true ruck (as Hinkley knew Soldo a liability to exploit esp in damp night-time game).
Too many players now old and slow; reflexes reduced, cannot do what they need to, a split-second costs, missed opps/goal/ missed/caught/ turnover/opp goal.
