Game day Mighty Tiges V da Dees

This will be a procession unless we take the game on and go longer to contests. Short and wide won’t work as they just sag numbers back to rebound. Kill us on spread and then kick to an open forward line. Don’t die by what you know!

I hope Dow was off balance when he kicked on his left foot. If that's the best he can do on his left he needs to spend the rest of the year practicing it.

Melbourne just move the ball so much better.
What ever happened to our defence setup?

Petracca and Ginger barely touched it.
8 disposals to Oliver. Petracca only 4 but we won't keep him down the whole game. Big issues holding Demons forward line. Already 5 marks inside 50 and 5 tackles inside 50 to our 1 and 1 despite almost same inside 50s.

This Qtr perfectly summarises where the Tiges are at vs a team like Melbourne.

We can apply trade mark pressure, and once upon a time that combined with the a surge forward at all costs mentality was enough. (In addition to the best player in the modern era).

However other teams, like the new benchmark Melbourne will be able to withstand it and then eventually make you pay with much better skill.

The club knows this and has already started drafting players with better skill.

Our game plan looks all wrong.

Instead of trying lace out footy we should be banging it long and surging it forward.

Territory and pressure.
Gawn or Jackson look like they're hanging down back on the Telly, to intercept. Looks like we're trying to avoid falling into that trap.

Our efficiency in the forward line rates 26 per cent to the dees 60pc.That is the problemATM

Tarrant no Brian Lake. He looks shot.
This Dees side is is just perfectly constructed.
Has everything you could possibly want.

How many more games do we need to develop a forward 50 strategy??

Always so congested, no structure.

That control style doesn't suit us because we are a shocking kicking side.
We can't run at them our midfielders have logged off.
They can't keep up.
Graham looks like he is running om treadmill.
What's Edwards done this year??

Kick it longer and surge the footy tigers!

If we don’t crib territory we will get slaughtered.
